I'm starting to play again after being conned into it by my friends that I play regularly with. But apparently there have been a lot of changes. And I going Master Scout, Master Marksman, Master Carbineer, and Bounty Hunter0-4-3-0

I was wondering if that was a good idea or if I was wasting my time with scout and bounty hunter.

Welcome back

The big changes are yet to come....

There are tons of good templates, it all depends what your Play Style is and the group you play with.

Well I'm going to be playing with a lot of friends, some of which are taylors and what not. So the scouting made sense so I could pick stuff up for them and they could use it for their various crafts. But I'll be doing a lot of combat stuff. And I love my carbine.I feel its morereliable then the other guns. Basically I'll beplaying a lot with a squad leader and pistoleer, with the occasional outing with taylors and dancers and doctors lol

Sounds like PvE Creatures and I would suggest having a Melee Tank.....which is why I am MCH

Yeah, the taylor is a TKM and entertainerwill probably be a Creature Handler. I'll probably be like the squad leader and have some troopers with me.

Ahhh, never wanted to be a Jedi. So meh.

So their are troopers in all of the towns? Nice!No wonder there where Rebels shooting at the officers and storm troopers. Oh well. I helped out the troopers all three times I got on. lol It was kinda funny...they where sniping at the troopers from far away with rifles. So I got to about midrange and unleashed carbine hellon one Zabrak. Another apparently had a crap load of dodge so I used up a lot of grenade weapons. Imperial Detonators I think they where called. Can't quite remember lol. The other I just blinded with traps and pelted him to death.

I forgot how enjoyable this game was. I'm having a great time ^_^

Mostly I try to just do PvE. But I guess it can't be helped some times.

One thing I noticed is that they fixed the cloning thing. Got taken out by some pirates, when I went back to the facility on Lok. I got Decay 5% on my gear. Normally I wouldn't really care much. But apparently my gear is really rare and valuable these days, I have come to find out.

A master taylor had made everything I own early on in the game. So my shirt, jacket, slacks, boots, gloves, and belt are all bio engineered and 4 slotted.

Before, you just respawned and that was that. But can a taylor fix it? Is there a risk of the item being ruined if you fix the decay?

One star the closed minded talk? Okay, done.

Honestly though, I dislike all this talk about the rebellion being good and the empire being evil. While the emperor might be evil (arguable, depending on how you look at it), and the leaders of the rebellion might be good (also arguable, depending on how you look at it), there is no reason to call your average storm trooper evil or your average X-wing pilot good. Both are generally just ordinary people doing what they consider to be right.

If you pay Insurance the decay is only 1% in PvE and 0% in PvP.....most of the time when bugs don't bite ya.

Yes anybody can repair the clothing or most other items, but a Master gets a bonus.....most of the time when bugs don't bite them.

BTW, BE clothing isn't rare, although maybe you have something special....

Yeah, they are high quality. =)

But the BE isnt why I was saying it was rare.

I had heard 4 slotted stuff was hard to get anymore? Maybe I'm mistaken though.

I need to find a buncha skilltapes... ^_^

No, just pointing out the (equally valid) imperial side of the GCW (which I may or may not be in game). I've seen too many "ub3r l33t" imperials (and rebels too actually)who have no real understanding of their side of the war, theircharacter's motivations, or anything of the character beyond "Igoing to pwn all you l0z3rs" and "I'm going to be a meangriefer because by definition imperials are evil".

Yes, 4 socketed items are harder to make now. Ithink that there is approximately a 10% chance for a master tailor to make a 4 socketed item. However, assuming you have the time to really set about doing it, it is not exceptionally expensive to get a crate or two of BE tissue and get the clothing. It might cost you a few tens to hundreds of k depending on the server. (As for "should bioengineers/tailors charge that much/little", that is another discussion entirely.)

For a carbineer who is using krayt carbines, getting a good set of 4 socketed BE clothing is non-trivial, but not that hard or expensive.
