No, just pointing out the (equally valid) imperial side of the GCW (which I may or may not be in game). I've seen too many "ub3r l33t" imperials (and rebels too actually)who have no real understanding of their side of the war, theircharacter's motivations, or anything of the character beyond "Igoing to pwn all you l0z3rs" and "I'm going to be a meangriefer because by definition imperials are evil".

My guild is a unified group of individuals set against the Emperor for the destruction of Alderaan, hence our name: The Ghosts of Alderaan!!!!

Okay, I have been reading up on all the changes, and also been playing. And wow....a lot is very different. One question I have is. What the heck is a hologrind? And lately every time I log on, theres rebels attacking the storm troopers in town lol. I mean...I get rid of them but it seems to happen every time I log on. Maybe it's just a coincidence...

First, the holo-grind is pretty much done on the 22nd but kinda continues to Publish 10. It refers to grinding through professions told by Holocrons and X number of "silent profs" all towards the goal of unlocking your Force Sensitive Character Slot.....to become a JEDI.

Second, ST's are part of the Imperial Crackdown in some NPC cities to add to the immersive feel of the Empire's dark cloud hanging over the valiant Rebellion.

Or the attempts of the benevolent emperor to protect the citizens of the empire of the crazed and desperate rebels and others who break the law, depending on who you ask.

And for that reasonrebels besiege the calm of cities across the galaxy, firing at troopers that had nothing to do with that tragedy? I'm sure there are soldiers and staff in the empire that had relatives on Alderaan and they feel your pain aswell. But it was sowing the seeds of discordthat the empire has brought. If not for the emperor, the galaxies politicians would still be at eachothers throats squabling overterritory and trade. To this end I will fight the rebellion with every ounce of strength I have.

Sorry for the double post...but I can't seem to figure out how to edit my post.

Anyway, when I was playing we didn't have mounts and landspeeders....[Man I feel like an old guy.....] So I was wondering if anyone had a website I could check out a possible mount or speeder.

Also, if theres a weaponsmith website where I can look for a nice carbine, that'd be helpful =)

You won't be able to edit your posts until you reach Community Veteran status. You allready meet the time requirements, so I think you just need to get to 100 posts or something (I can't remeber the exact number).

I think you might be able to find some stuff on the official website about mounts and speeders. You gotta go back a ways on the Friday Feature posts, I think there was one about them.

The best way to find a good weapon is to either ask around and find out who the good WSs are on your server, or travel around to some of the bigger player cities and look at some vendors. Make sure to comparison shop lol, don't buy one until you have seen most of what there is to be offered.

Another question. I've been looking into some different armor types. Before when I played. Armor wasn't really that big of a thing due to encumbrance being a big problem. Clothes made the man so to speak. But after some changes it seems its wider in use. Seeing as I am going to be doing a lot of PvE is it better to go with clothes? Or with armor?

Also....The Counter Attack, I know this is an issue for everyone. But reading through all the changes...I'm a big confused. Does counter attack do absolutely nothing? Or does it stop an attack, and we simply just dont attack (Yet...anyway...)

As TA said, definately get some buffs before you haed out to hunt. If PvE is your thing, I'd recommend a nice suit of Ubese armor. It can get up to the 70s in kinetic resistance, and is a lot cheaper and a lot less encumbering that composite.

Armor is king until the Combat Balance....just get buffed.

Counterattack does evade the attack sometimes, just not often enough and we BELIEVE it shows no return attack as the name would suggest. Personally I think Counterattack along with application of States are HUGE profession distinctive things.....both need some work however to be as useful as they should.

Yeah, I mean just looking at Pistoleers with their dodge is irking. And if they have some fencer? Its just sick.
