Thread: Fire-Knockdown vs. Chargeshot. Your choice?

Which one would you pick?
I'm an MBH + Carb 3/4/0/4 + Pistoleer 4/0/4/0

Fire-KD or Chargeshot? Just wanted to know if anyone tested which one is more effective. I can lay down states easily with Wildshot first and then Sprayshot. Which just knocks him down first?

ChargeShot1<FireKD<ChargeShot2.

So you're saying Chargeshot2 is more effective than 1, even though its an area blast?

Careful how you read those arrows. I listed them from lowest to highest preference.

ChargeShot1 is nice, but its EASILY eclipsed by FireKD for single target takedowns. ChargeShot2 really doesn't allow much room for comparison, since you really can't top the ability to drop multiple targets in a single shot.

Except for when you target multiple players fail to knock them over and give them a nice 30 second immunity. FireKD is too unreliable. Chargeshot2 does seem to KD more often (no real documented proff)but you need to be careful when and where you use it.

I'm pretty shocked to hear about your troubles with FireKD. I'm easily 50% KD/Dizzy, 20% KD, 20% Dizzy, 10% completely resisted in its use. The beauty of it is, if they don't go down, you can keep going until you do put them down, whether the Dizzy sticks or not. I find it far more reliable than ChargeShot1 on a single target basis and RARELY need to use it more than twice, more often only needing it once.

I consider ChargeShot2 a very different animal than the other two.

Of course, you're also referring to PvP, where insane levels of resistance to these kinds of attacks are possible through defense stacking. (With all due respect to TA).

with FireKD if i managed to KD before i dizzy'd then what are my options? Spam fullauto2 hoping i land a dizzy, another FireKD hoping it dizzy's and doesn't KD again resulting in them standing back up, or let them get up on their own 5 seconds later ... while most of the time it works great it is the few times it doesn't that makes chargeshot1 all that much better IMO

Is there a new Carbineer Special, Fire-Knockdown, that I am not aware of?

Take any KD or PD Special you want in this game, and I mean ANY, and bring it to my PvP toon.....good luck, and I do NOT use Food of CoB.....

Thanks for the info guys. I'm just wary of spamming a kd shot, either one, because I dont want them standing back up. I also throw in a supressionfire in there when he's dizzy, if he doesnt get knocked.
I always give them a posture up because of spamming. Thanks again.
