Thread: Confirming Counter Attack bug ( its working but ....)
I did some testing awhile back on TC2-Ahazi against a Rifleman shooting adv strafes at me and I counterattacked according to the combat spam.
sorry Zhuge but your wrong on that, counterattack works on specials, and just like Iebas just said, half as often as dodge

Well just to begin it IS working, i did major testings last night, and i did counter attack many times. But you ONLY can counter attack regulare attacks ( no special moves ). for example if someone just shoots at you, you will counter attack it, but if they use a special skill you wont be able to counter it. This is how block works as well, while dodge works for both regulare and special attacksonce again, carbineers and left out. This needs to get a hotfix, counter attack is all we have for defence, it should be fixed asap.

I don't discount the testing you did, but other testing seems to suggest the reason you provide here to explain the in-game evidence might be skewed by other factors.
And please don't take this as negative either, WEALL depend on each other's testing and in-game experience. So my suggestion is take as much accuracy out of the situation as possible and any other variables you can think of....
Actually, we know ChargeShot1 is very low accuracy so if you can, use that against another Carbineer to test....of course ignore the KD aspect ![]()

Well actually counter attack works just as well as dodge. I think what some people fail to take into consideration is the melee to hit mod from having a carbine out. Against a master rifleman thats blind at poiblank out of 5 shots usually 2 will miss 2 will be counterattacked (no exact numbers just from expierience thats usuallywhat happens)and 1 will hit while no states on me thats with only master carbine and no other real defenses i dont think dodge does any better as i have tried dueling a rifleman being stacked on TC ahzi while blind he hit about the same amount and i had more defenses then with my carbineer. This is just from expierience not actual testing and taken numbers down.
Sorry, but the Dodge was tested with a Master Pistoleer and a Master Carbineer attacking NPC's. Counterattack is most certainly activating 1/2 as often as a Pistoleer's Dodge.
Numbers were taken down and recorded.....I specifically questioned Nova on this and confirmed his testing.....case closed.
BTW, TC servers have different code (yes even the copied ones, they just copy the character database not the code), just look at the LoS there vs. LIVE as an example ![]()

The Jedi complain about everything. If you gave them ranged and mellee mitgation, 90% resist robes and 200+ acc they would start complaining about the fact that their toons didn't get 10 mil everytime they logged on
