Thread: Test Center Fixes for Carbineer (Or is it)
I'll check out the TC again whenever I can access it, however, when I was on I didn't notice any increased HAM costs. The weapons were not the same quality as the one's on the live server's, that's for sure. But I'll have to check back on that.
Those arn't all the changes and supposedly there is still more to come. HAM cost increase isn't suppose to be there, however, if it is. It's suppose to be quite the opposite.
Whenever I can access the TC during my time, when it's not loading, I'll write down the new mod updates. I'll also go over any moves to see if any changed although I doubt that was worked on.
The accuracy got a huge lift as I posted in another thread. I'm pretty sure what I wrote there (15, 25, 35, 45) was pretty accurate, but I'll post the real mods when I can get on. I didn't notice any change in the speed mods at all. This leads me to believe that we are around the range of wherethey want us to be. To make up for any DPS problems, we were issued another change. I don't know if it's on the TC right now, I'll have to check.
how can our speed not be adjusted?
Pistols are much faster than carbines and pistoleers get more speed mods than the carbineers get speed mods.
So a pistoleer with an alreadyfaster weapon gets more speed in addition to that than us?
Oh and did you mention the master rifleman firing at the 1 second speed cap with ultra slow rifles?
Don't nerf pistoleer and rifleman improve the carbineer.
I agree. How can the speed not be adjusted?
With the damage of pistols (not the specials, but the pistols themselves) rivaling carbines, all while they fire fast AND have faster speed mods. It doesn't make any sense at all.
SOJ, perhaps you need to compile the stats on the weapons for sale on the servers. I'll be glad to assist you with weapon stats from my server (Wanderhome). The 3-4 best weaponsmiths post their weapon stats all the time on the forums and the pistol stats just make my jaw drop.
I strongly believe that a Master Carbineer w/o Master Marksman should be able to hit +75 speed.I believe they can only hit +60 right now and there is a HUGE HUGE difference between 75/60 +60 is a whooping 60% slower firing rate than +75!
Further, +75 isn't even enough speed to speed cap a laser carbine of 3.5 reload on the slow specials like crippleshot. I have +85 speed (BH speed) and I am not speed capped firing a 3.5 carbine with cripple. There is no way +75 would be overpowering. It wouldn't even hit the this new 1.5 cap they are talking about.
+75 would be dead on perfect.
Ok, Doing a search for carbines on test center the few posts i could find that had anyting to do with carbineers seem to say these are the fixes.
A. increased accuracy (this one is actually a verygood thing)
B. increased defence mods (cool now i will have a2 more seconds to kill myself with my gun)
C. increase counter attack mods (how well has this mod worked till now)
D. INCREASED HAM COSTS (so now i need to be master doctor use spice and tatooine sunburns to shoot my gun)
nothing about fixed guns or attacks
If these are the fixes that we have been promised they are a joke. Please tell me these aren't the fixes you were talking about SOJ.
Also after the patch my new gear will be underwear, stimpacks and a gun if the decay goes thru as planned so far. if you don't check out test center its time to read up on their forums.
Yeah our defense vs intimidate, is that a joke by the devs?
I'd rather have the ability to color my carbine hot pink that defense vs intimidate. That's just plain dumb. If something is within melee range, we are screwed. It would be a waste for some melee to intimidate us when they could just drop us in a few hits.
Carbine IS THE MOST BROKEN RANGE CLASS IN THE GAME.... HANDS DOWN. That being said Sony pushed this product to the market WAY to fast just to make a quick buck, this sickens me.
In closeing at least EQ had thought behind it this is just plain moronic to put this product on the market

Don't mention it. I completely agree and I am on the same ship. However, I cannot tell you guys that we are getting a speed increase.. because I don't see one happening so far. It has been discussed on the forum, however, and I would hope that it will be looked into. I'll throw in a few good words about it whenever I can.

ok... so I guess we just aren't killing ourselves fast enought then for SOE if this is indeed true, I thought
it was bad enough wearing armor and using a carbine but **edit**, going to have to switch to pistol if this is true.
