Thread: Bugged with 1 point XP and 1 point Combat XP! =(
Well here i am grinding my way up carbineer 3/1/1/2 and now all of a sudden after taking a couple day break from grinding i go to shoot anything at all and i get either no XP! or most of the time 1 point XP for carbine and 1 point XP for combat! what is up with this? i tryed using my laser and my short dh17 both same thing happen.
Anyone have this problem or know whats going on? please respond ASAP! im stuck having to kill 2 million more creature literally.
This happens to me whenever I hit my xp cap for that particular pool - You cannot bank much Xp, you hit a limiter. Carbine was the first tree I mastered in the Marksman tree, After that I continued to use Carbs and then after a few days I hit the cap, and started getting 1 carb xp and 1 combat xp...Until I trained in Carbineer, then it went back to normal
Combat Xp is tied to the xp number you generate in your weapon. This is most liekly your issue, go train and see - or look at the Carbine Xp in your skills window. If you have a nice round number (say 200000 as opposed to 178397) then you have hit your total xp cap.
How that is your issue.
It may sound stupid as a suggestion but did you try killing something harder ?
lol... I got about 20k Combat exp getting 1 combat exp per kill <---- 1 combat exp even for a krayt dragon.
oh wells... looks like I'm capped anyway with 300k combat exp.
can anyone please tell me whats going on, im at a dead stop because im not grinding up the tree getting 1 xp per kill.
I noticed that each time I gained a new skill box I lost XP on kills. I usually hunt levia squall on rori when grinding XP, yesterday I got 1498 XP for each after I gained a new skill I only got 1300 something.... now I am down in 1100 XP for each. Seems that something has changed.
I use to be a master commando and never experienced a XP loss after gaining new skills, or perhaps this is something uniqe for carbineers ??
Aloso I only get 1 combat XP and 1 carbine XP forall low level critter out there.
If this change is consistent for all proffession I will not mind at all, makesit harder to gain our skills and forces us to go aftermore difficult mobs.

I have encountered the same problem grinding rifle, the only thing that I found fixed it was to switch weapons.
Try using a different carbine, I had to cycle through 3 rifles because the problem was happening with 2 of them.
I ran into this problem when I capped out on Pistoleer xp. What was happening was that I was maxed at Medical xp, maxed at CH xp and maxed at Pistoleer xp. When I finally hit the Pistoleer cap for the level I was on, it went to 1 combat xp per kill, and no other xp.
What you need to do is give up a skill box in something that you've maxed in. Say, if you'reat a particular level for something, and have an extra bunch of XP over and above what you need, giveit upand get it again from someone.This will reset your XP counter and you will gain xp.
I gave up Level IV Pistol Techniques, and then got trained in it right away (cuz, of course, I was capped on XP for it). After that I got Pistol xp (because I was no longer capped) and the normal amount of combat XP.
I've now capped on Pistol xp and get 0 Pistol xp for kills, but I still am getting the normal amount of Combat XP.
Bugged? Probably, but this way is an easy fix. Good luck!
