I've killed like 12 BHs and I've been killed by 4 on Eclipse. I never send hate tells and I've never received them after defeating a BH.
The most asinine BHs are in fact not BHs. These are the people who go to a TC server copy, grab TKM and assume that they can pound the crap out of you. When you send them packing they come back with 2 or 3 other TKM BHs (often exploiting) and shout "PWND" over your corpse as though you should be able to defeat 3 TKMs.
These people have generally never been a BH, and every single one of them "has" a powerful Jedi Sentinel or Dark Jedi Enforcer on another server, with all the best equipment and they "pwn" people like me 24/7. Interesting, isn't it?

on my server, the hate tells are pretty much non-stop.. even when you aren't even on the Terms.. Luckily it's mostly just one BH guild, so it's easy to put them on /ignore, but they routinely recruit new players (or players who seem to think that the actions of these BHs are the norm) to harass Jedi the entire time they're logged in.
I can't remember the last time I was able to spend a few hours logged in to quietly hunt without a screen full of /tells from some random person cursing at me and telling me how horrible a person I am simply because my character is a Jedi.

Sadly both sides has unmaturechildren among them. Personally as a player that has chosen not to be involved in any kind of PvP since last April, where combat medics and DoT weapons started to destroy all PvP fun, I mainly try to stay away from BH terminals. Not because I will fill my permadeath count or loose xp, because I would meet one of that kind of children which likes to grief (not as personal attack but once your correspondent even supports grief and do that to sadistic personal revenge)
Bounty-Hunter never hunted Jedi. Jango was after Amidala, Boba was after Solo. They don't do it for grief against Jedi, they do it for money. I am at point that not many BH left that makes it for money other than personal ego satisfaction.

I never got hate tells from BHs ..just things like "u need to learn how to pvp" while i was running away from 2 guys, one a CM BH the other a reguler.
Then since i got Knight ..about 2 weeks ago, i was visited 2 times, both melee BHs, so i fightet and tryed to keep distance between my oponent with force run1 and saber throw 3. Wel i was able to make one or 2 KDs but coud not kill him he healed himself always, and i made about 60 till 80 dmg. After 10 min he was running away with the words "im not fighting you u always run around i got no time for this"
Hey why should i make it easy for him to get me? of course i use all my abilities in the fight. and if im faster with force run1, i will use it ....i would be stupid to let him come to closehe coudt KD and dizzy me....
Well no hate tells just stuff like "man i got no time to fight this way" and u "need to learn how to fight ..."...i know how to fight...my way. But since im Knight im permanent on term and no Bh comes...they know knights dont care about xp lose anymore so why should they kill a Knight...unless a DJK comes with the BH for the FR xp

I've never seen a BH yet, but I will never ever ever ever send a hate tell to anyone. If they send me hate tells, I usually send them a compliment or two and they stop right away lol. In past PvP I rarely died (before I got jedi) and I got hate tells all the time. Just tell them that they had a good fight and they know what they are doing and be on your way.

that is truly sad. That is not put up with in my guild, and is grounds for getting kicked. Wish you were on corbantis, it has been my experiance talking to a lot of jedi that there are very few that are as foolish as what you are talking about.

on intrepid, i'm fortunate to say that a majority of the BH's that have come after me, whether it was in the beginning when i feigned, or anytime after, whether myself or they ahve died, have been fairly respectful...and if not respectful, at least didn't send hate tells and stuff
i don't expect a bh to send a 'nice fight' message after a fight, no matter who wins, but always nice when they do, if they mean it
i respect bh's that come alone
i even respect, at this stage of my jedi grind, bh's that are ranged that come as a pair....2 ranged against me last time was a good fight, i killed one, the other killed me
i've had 2 melee come at me not too long ago..can't respect that....i hit them twice, 30 dmg and 41 dmg...the good ole psg'ers
if a bh slays me, as long as they have not been disrespectful, i /tell nice job
one bh that came for me at my house as i was preparing to log allowed me a few minutes to prepare myself, i came out, we fought, i won but did not db him
kindness works both ways with alot of people, both in the jedi community, and the bh community as well. its just hard to know who the 'good' people are in game that are playing to have fun and not just out to slaughter someone's game time
