Thread: If You're Dropping Carbineer now...

Personally, I didn't think our profession could get any worse. WRONG!!! I am quite disgusted. The only thing we had going for us was broken, and they decided to fix that and only that. I am going to wait maybe a day or two to see if NovaMarine can get us an immediate answer/fix. But if nothing happens quickly, I'm finished waiting for Carbineer to be fixed. I'm not waiting another 4-5 months for a possible fix. I'm going pistoleer now.

I just want to add that I am one of the people that has been a carbineer since day 1. I mastered weaponsmith on the side just so I could make my own set of nice carbines. I have been promoting this profession all the way. I wanted to be a "different" combat class. But with this patch, I realize that the most important problems DEVs are willing to fix are ones which involve supposed "EXPLOITS". It is considered an exploit for a carbineer to use CS1 repeatedly, resulting in a pinned target. However true this is, it has no different outcome than the dizzy/KD ability. Also, it should say something for Carbineers that we were READY AND WILLING to let this be fixed BUT AT THE SAME TIME THEY FIX OUR OTHER SPECIALS. Show me a thread on another profession saying "oh yeah, this skill we have is too powerful, please take it away" It was considered an exploit for people to bleed a target and drive off on their bikes to kite. I don't see how this is a major issue considering this is one of the most time consuming way to kill something. Personally, I have used it, but I would rather just get buffed and kill the NPC in 1/10th of the time.

I'll be dropping it when I get home from work.
I'm discusted that time went into adding a timer to CS2 when it didn't even KD in the first place. I actually agree with the timer being there but for god sake do not waste your time, my time with the nerf to a special that doesn't even work.
