How about the devs actually get off their asses and fixed the broken professions before nerfing the professions that are working right.

Shakaeq, please: run the numbers.


$speed = ($S * $D) * ((100 - $P)/100.0) is the formula.



If your Skill for Speed is +100, then the equation is:


$speed = ($S * $D) * ((100 - 100)/100.0)


=> $speed = ($S * $D) * ((0)/100.0)


=> $speed = ($S * $D) * (0)


=> $speed =(0)


See? The >=1.0 is an *arbrtrary* cap, inserted by SOE, to prevent guns firing infinitely fast.


Therefore, the cap can be *arbitrarily* changed as and when SOE choose to do so.

That depends on how you look at it. There is a 1.5x multiplier for autoattacks. If you compare last ditch to the autoattack it is 6x, however if you compare it to the actual damage on the weapon, it is 9x.


It's just a matter of definitions, and the main problem is that there is no standard, some count one way, some the other way. We should really agree on one way on all forums...

SOE would have to change thier speed multiplier system compltely. Which we all know is borked. 100 is a 1 sec cap no matter what. I was thinking of a bandaid until a revamp would happen.if it ever does /sigh. It ramps ups so much the closer you get to 100 that its a hard fix. I totally agree with your statement. how to fix it without a major change is the key.

Yea we wouldn't want people who completely focus all they're skills on carbinees to be faster and more accurate than carbine dabblers... hell they may even kill someone fighting melee and god knows we can't have that...!!!!!
