Well, last pvp match I had I kited a master brawler, tkm, master fencer, mfor about 10 minutes to get his health down to about half, his action wias a little above that, and his mind was only about 1/4 down.. I didn't take all the stuff I need to buff my mind so it ran out.
Things I learn from this is,
terrian neg. was my firiend, in fact this was my defense.
Melee fighter have a toughness bonus on top of all of their defense that further reduce your ability to damage them.
If I was able to sustain this type of attack this battle would have lasted hours, as he could have been a medic, and restored the health and action.
I forgot his dodge was out of control. With his Center of being on it was near impossible to hit, since I was using the carbine accuracy while moving bonuses not my normal 200 carbine accuracy.

freaking ridicoulous... IMHO...
1 on 1 pvp is supposed to last for 10 freaking minutes!!!
OMG I so miss the game back when huge battles lasted 5 min's tops...
and then raged on after the losing side cloned and re-grouped...
10 minutes for a 1 on 1 match.. is ridiculous.
That means a friendly sp duel would make you miss 2 shuttles...

if they add more damage types then everyone would be a carbineer.....
Rifles = stun
Pistols = stun
Fencer = stun
A Carbineer with stun would kill someone with 5kham inlike 10 hits.....
It is like giving TKS acid and stun VKS.... it is insanity.
Carbineer only needs like +10 more speed and some more ranged defense
Status defenses are not needed because carbineer is a 50 meter ideal range profession. So if you know what you are doing that gap will stay 50m so you wont die by melee.
Ranged defense yes
Speed yes
Fix Counterattack yes
New weapons and more defenses no

I think its a good list. I would say a cold carbine, I know thats not popular, but its interesting. Cold is not a common damage type and would make carbineers more desirable to group with when going for certain high end critter(ie anything on tatooine).
The defenses would be nice, but i get the feeling all ranged will be asking for defenses, seeing as how melee is alot tougher. I think the devs will ignore us on that one.
HAM and Speed are the best chances of us getting what we want.
I think the distinction solutions would be best, its not as flashy, and i may desire a new gun more, but i feel getting states to high end and those states being better would really give carbinner something to work with. Knowing what states do, the chances of em sticking(generally, not the actual mathematical chance).
This would reward the carbinners who love carbines, as they really plan ahead. I love having a combat queue with 5 diff specials in, in a certain order, not using a macro. Carbineer involves you more in the fight, and getting better state attacks will make the game more fun in the long term for us. I push for this alot.

Sigh.....I have ben away for a few months. And these are the same issues we had then : ( and at launch...
