Wait a minute, are you saying that the hit ratio is the same as any other random HAM special? Most battles these days do take a few minutes because of buffs and armor so wouldn't crippleshot really be just as effective at taking out the mind as scattershot (assuming your speedcapped)?

The difference between Scatter Shot and Crippling Shot in PvP is that Scatter Shot is bugged and somehow circumvents melee toughness and some defenses. The fact that it bypasses melee toughness means more damage dealt that wouldn't normally be dealt if the toughness was not bypassed. The fact that it bypasses some defenses means that you are more accurate with it and hit more often. That is why Scatter Shot has an edge over Crippling Shot right now, but fear not, it will be fixed in the next update, scheduled for the 29th.

I am still on the fence as my testing has not been long enough yet. But I see about the same ratio in H A M reduction using ScatterShot2 and CripplingShot in PvE yes.....

But wait until those crazy nerf herders get done with ScatterShot1/2 and then I am sure I can get off the fence

Ah yes, Melee Toughness was/is the problem, which in my testing of Carbineer vs. Carbineer didn't come out......we should be pwning Melee Profs anyways....this is STAR WARS isn't it......somebody notify SOE that this is STAR WARS please.....

ScatterShot2 also bypasses Synthsteak but it does -MISS- just like any other shot.

Hmm, not only do you bump the post, you do so right after somebody else did... You're winning the post races, no reason to resort to shameful tactics like this...
