and yes...it would be a LOT more beneficial for them to get a new correspondant into position NOW than to wait on it....in fact if they wait on this i will be
A) surprised
and
B) stupefied
Would seem to be total idiocy for them to not get someone new in place int he face of having a large scale revamp coming up soon.

well
the revamp wont come until after JTL..and that will be october or even november
but they have to test it, the Sandbox is coming open, and they have to have time to work out kinks, etc. Theyll need someone in place in advance to read up on their new ideas and concepts or whatever and then get prepped for testing the revamp and becoming familiar with the ropes
it wouldnt seem logical for them to sit on this...then again SOE has never been very logical

TA, you are certainly the obvious choice for the position and have my vote for sure. My only concern is that at times you tend to come off as overbearing and arrogant. I understand that this comes from your passion for the game and this profession but I feel it is important that you recognize that many players are very turned off by this. As the correspondent you must learn to be more political in someof your replies. Please do not take this the wrong way. I believe that you can and will do a great job and this is not meant as a flame, just some constructive critisizim(sp?).

If he does get the job and it changes the way he responds to posts here, that will be most unfortunate.
This isa fairly quiet board, compared to the Romper Room action in the Bounty Hunter and Jedi forums, but there still needs to be a sheriff in town (so to speak) to keep things in order when there's a rumor of FOTMism, or a new Publish that might make us more powerful, bringing idiots in here.
Beyond the occassional barrage of "Read the FAQ" responses which would probably be better handled by just giving a quick answer, but no one here is a saint, even if we're fairly polite.

Sort of whati was thinking...when you accept a position of correspondant, you represent the community and the people of SoE. I would think they would want someone who is friendly, does not flame or troll in any extreme manner, (not saying TA does any of this specifically)...but overall they want someone who is willing to leave their personal beliefs and attitude at the door, and work as a public community figure. I would expect Firehawk to change if he was the correspondant.

Both of you and the others are correct in your assessment.....but as I have stated before, there has always been a method to my madness and a general role that I was filling within this Forum, which if I get the Corr position would greatly change. Nova was the Corr and thus the "politically correct" person so I was being the "sheriff type".
Nova and I have discussed this and a great many other things (for a very long time) and we have ALWAYS been on the same page with each other.....but your concerns and criticism are valid and I actually welcome them.
Even with all your support, there has been nothing done yet by SOE on this position that I am aware of.....and I am not sure they take into account what you guys say or not......but the waiting is a bit frustrating

ROTFLOL!!!
Hehe, thought I might borrow a page from the Hitchhikers Guide to TAfirehawk. The worst part about the waiting though is the uncertainty, and of course the incompleteness that we all probably feel to a certain extent not having a coorespondent at all.

We are very much without a Correspondent as Nova's definitely GONE now.......
