It seemed so much more appropriate to keep my name out of the title

And on top of that, you obviously have no clue as to what my role was on this Forum while Nova was the Corr.....but oh well, most people know who and what I am around here.....even if I come off as harsh, there is ALWAYS a purpose to my posts....and that is never Post Count +1

Heh, so you are kissing ass. You make up a new thread to show off how well organised and constructive you can be, when really it is there to serve your own goals. I think it's pretty naive to think someone will get picked as corresponent because they are very active on the forum / get 'votes'.

SOE will pick a "yes man" that will do what they tell him/her.

If doing the right thing for the community is kissing arse....then so be it. But you really have NO CLUE as to who and what I am about.....I am so active here that there is NO REASON for me to try and posture once Nova resigned, please check my over 2,800 posts on this forum alone and you will see they didn't all come after Nova resigned

And since communication to the Devs and to the Carbineers is 99% through THIS FORUM, well I would hope the new Corr has a decent amount of quality activity here....not quantity, quality.....

Sadly some of the "old dogs" of Carbineer don't want to even apply.....a real shame because we have at least 4-5 real quality people that could be Corr.....

Lastly, I am not here to please all people all the time...as in life, that is impossible and a foolish goal.

Sometimes we've butted heads Firehawk, but it's usually because we're both firey and want the best we can get.

I dropped out of the TKA running cause Ruytek was far better than me, I'm sometimes too hostle...the Devs would say "We're working on Defensive Acuity," and I'd respond with "That should have been done a year ago!"

I'd have been terrible. hehe

Carbineers have a great forum, lots of capable members. I really miss Carbineer, but my flavor for PvP, and the need to constantly cure DOT's, fix massive wounds, have good defenses make me keep TKM/MDoc.

...plus too poor to speedcap.

Whilst TA does come across as somewhat pompous at times and despite the fact that this thread stinks of self-promotion... I have to agree that when it comes to knowledge about the Carbineer profession then there is no one finer.

My only concern is that TH has stated that the fabled Combat Revamp will require that "you forget all that you currently know about combat". So in this case do we really want someone will such depth of knowledge about the current system? I just thinking about how the CR may need someone to be able to look at things objectively and not with one eye on the past, and so maybe a Carbineer with less knowledge should take the post.

If the Combat system was staying as it is I would say without a doubt that our Correspondant should be TA.

I guess though, if TA wants the position as badly as this thread suggests, and he can assure us that he will assess the results of the CR in relation to that revamp (again, I do not doubt his organisational skills), then I can't see many other options.

Basically, my support is for TA but with certain caveats.

Based on the fact that TA has never called for or suggested anything but balance and ideas which would put Carbineers in balance.....not elite, not uber, but on part with everyone else....I think this thought process is a moot one. TA has demonstrated he would be more than capable of working within the framework of any new ideaology put forth and if anything probably enhance it. And besides....if he can figure out and break down one system with such ease and be able to communicate his findings to everyone else as easily as he has, it stands to logic and reason he can do it for another, and likely would be the most proficient in doing so. JMHO anyway.

I was going to reply here, but see that I don't need too

For what it is worth, there are a number of qualified candidates out there, not just me......lets just hope they pick somebody soon and not wait 3 months like Rifleman or Jedi.
