I hate the new Icons. That and the green E11 bolts is what I hate about the CU. The rest I like.
I guess I can grow to like the new icons if the rest of the GUI is reworked to match. I'm thinging of something in leather and perhaps a bit of golden scrollwork...
Or we can try to maintain a High-tech look that suits Star Wars by reworking the new Fantasy icons.

Did a lot of playing today, played to 0043 and a lot of more XP as well. Can get Novice Carbineer as soon as it's enabled.
The E11 is quite powerful.
Also the increased XP and what I think is lowered HAM on mobs made the grind very quick. Around 1000 Xp per kill from the mobs I can kill at my level. I think they should tone this down a bit.
Did some grouping with a few friends and pulled lvl 13 missions. They were realy, realy fun.
The new con levels are realy cool, though a Yellow con is pretty easy to take down.
Can't wait to try out the Elite professions.

I agree some of them allude to Fantasy, but I think overall having coloured, more detailed icons is a good thing. Maybe it was just me, but all of the old icons looked alike after a while

TA - my view so far.... I have spent about three days now, got marks 0044 and scout 2000. I do have some concerns that I have voiced to devs, but here goes...
- The new XP is good, high reward for killing critters of your own lvl, no reward for killing 'easy' cons.
- The fact you do not auto defend is stupid, if I have a weapon in my hand and a mob starts biting my leg off, is is right I just stand there?
- I miss the combat queue, for 2 reasons... firstly if I get aggro, there is no visual to show I am in combat... this is made worse by the fact I will also no longer auto defend. Also the only way I seem to be able to do anything in combat now is to run a looping macro of /special, /pause 0.5, /macro **** (I will not just sit there clicking the mouse button all day and get RSI)
- The weapons seem to be far from balanced, I thought it was a dev intention that most weapons would have a place, but this is not the case. At my lvl I am now certed for a 4 different carbines, but can only use 1 as the other 3 are now redundent.... With all weapons 2.2 speed, no accruacy modsand the same damage type, is comes down to the damage stats and NOTHING else...
- Whats with the green blob shooter called the E11, yes very star warsy that

All in all I am a bit of a loss as to what this is ATM, it's not an upgrade and it's not a re-balance.

Combat is indicated by flashing of your name along with the target.

There is nothing in the weapons tweaked until we test it, please refer to the Focus Threads for what you should be testing. Going out to test things the Devs don't have setup on TC5 is a waste of time.

Untill they modify the leveling process I would suggest NOT training all the way up one branch before starting the next. IE if you plan to master marksman, level up evenly across the tree. Your character and resulting lvl vs con is not based on the weapon you are holding. If you are level 10 at carbines 4, then you are level 10 when you equip your cdef rifle at rifles 1. This makes the new grind up rifles much, much more difficult as xp is gated to your level.

rinviero remember that all the guns we have are off the forgs and they have always been um out of place with player crafted guns. but as to your other points mainly the no auto defend is stupid i really do not like not having that. and the no combat queue i really do not like that. but other than that i think its going pretty well, i mean we all have to remember that this is less than a week into testing so there will be bugs and other things in there.

The jump in firepower from marks 0044 to novice carbs is HUGE......
before I was hitting for around 150 per hit with my E11 and the best special available, now I hit for 450 with the EE3 and leg shot, and I have armor.... I am like 4 x as powerful now

Yea I'm gettin really pissed - haven't been able to get past 'connecting to login server...' for the past 2 days and its gettin on my nervs. Alsoasking me to rate the CU right after I wasnt able to log in for the 12th time today isn't the best of ideas-
