Well this soundscool & all, but until all of this actually happens, we Carbineers have to continue being the "lemon class" of SWG I guess.Not to sound ungreatful or anything, but we've waited too long already. I mastered this profession ages ago & kept it for a long time hoping it would get fixed. But I gave up waiting & ditched it for some other professions instead. I just recently started taking it up again in hopes that some of the broken things would be fixed, but afterthe publish 6patch,this profession is worse then ever.
Bottom line: Carbineer has been broken since this game was launched. Since I dropped Master "Carbinier"back in September,I've master 14 other professions, unlocked a force slot &after allthat time,Carbineer isstill broken. C'mon Sony...Chef got a total revamp from the ground up. We got a spelling correction in the Carbineer title.
It's better to just dump this profession. Seriously.You can master a much more lethal profession (like Teras Kasi Artist)sooner than it will take for the devs to actually fix this one, I guarantee it.
Carbineers = Most ignored combat class in all of SWG...
The next several publishes that are focused on combat will be rebalancing the weapons and introducing new carbines. They have promised the next several months will be an exciting time for Carbineers!
And what do the Devs propose?? They going to treat carbineers like commandos or pikeman?? Ignore the problem till it goes away?? How could something have been broken if the devs themselves said it was working fine?? What is the status of the broken crap (now the enitre profession)?? LOL we as for new weapons and they give us a crappy e-11 with crappy skill mods. They nerfed the other effective shot that this profession had (action shot 1&2). All thats left is crippleshot and if things keep going the way they do then it looks like thats going to be nerfed too.
My little vacation from carbineer has taught me alot of things. Like carbineer has the potential to have one of the highest DPS's in the game. Well if we had the weapons and if the weapons didn't kill us and if we had shots that worked. And defenses would be nice too. It's too bad that defense stacking has to exist but it must. And they are going to nerf that and not offense stacking?? That is going to be the next nerf cry. Heck defense stacking adds defenses to professions that don't even have a defense. Take that away and what???
Personal opinion: Fire this development team and hire a new one. The way things are sitting now its not going to be looking pretty by the next combat change.
DEVS YOUR TRYING TO BALANCE A BROKEN TABLE (words out of TH's mouth). IT'S NOT GOING TO WORK. WHAT YOU "BALANCE" AND "FIX" NOW WILL JUST INTRODUCE MORE PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD AS YOU CREATE NEW IMBALANCES. FIX THE GAWD DAM GAME AND THEN FRACKING BALANCE.
This is absurd. Carbineer is ruined and some are cheer because they plan to do something about it in the future?
How long will we wait?? Not me. Dropped master carb. Taking up something thats useful. Was carb since Aug. It's sad.
The Devs should have FIXED Carb BEFORE NERFing carb.

i just started novice carbineer yesterday and im not too worried becuase the game is gonna continually be fixed and new stuff added, so with that i have one question, if they make any carbines have better attack speed and better damage, will that go into affect on to existing carbines or just newly crafted carbines, just wondering if i should buy a weapon now, and hope the patch makes it better, or if i should wait to find out if it works on carbines created prior to the patching, anyone have an idea?
