Shame the devs and designers don't actually bother with this forum and therefore will never see this.

have you seen the ham costs on on these things. Check out the following ham drain comparisons:

carbine specialare on average1.5 health 2.5 action 0.5 mind (~3sec fire rate on average)

pistol specialare on average 1.5 health 0.5 actino 0.5 mind (~2 sec fire rate on average

riffle specials are on average 0.5 health 0.5 action 2.0 mind (~6 sec fire rate on average)

Now let's put them all on the same fire rate scale as riffle to see how things compare:

(Carbine x2, pistol x3)

Carbine 3.0 health, 5.0 action, 1.0 mind

Pistol 4.5 health, 1.5 action, 1.5 mind

Riffle 0.5 health 0.5 action 2.0 mind

Why do we have the highest drains to primay and such high drains to health? Also, if you check out the actually guns for each profession:

pistols low-to-mid health/low-mid action/low mind

carbines mid-to-high health / high action / mid-to-low mind

riffles low-to-mid health/low-to-mid action/very high mind.

Anylizing this you should be able to clearly see what the bloody problems is. Devs? Are you too stupid to understand? BIG + BIG = VERY BIG ACTION DRAIN MID + MID = HIGH HEALTH DRAIN Why are we getting raped in the ham department? Is it our superior specials we get....can't be because none of them f&%$^in' work. AHHHHHHH stop the insanity

lol, oh btw

In response to Legan_Spidz up there, I have very well-made weapons (Master Weaponsmith is a good friend to have), I've tweaked my stats to try to hang, and I watch how my armor treats me as well has having some competency in the Medic class that I haven't listed. Stim B's are constantly in my inventory. Problem is, if I'm using a pistol, I don't have to go through this headache. If such care was necessary to ALL combat classes, then I don't think we would have a problem. You don't need to be so careful and take all these precautions for other classes though. A Pistoleer with an FWG5 or a Bounty Hunter with a Scatter pistol will give you a nightmare everytime, and they're not concerned about HAM costs, maxing stats, or stims, just to make their weapons function. Balance is all we ask, and I don't think it's asking a lot.

On a side note, I also think that the knockdown timer shouldnot be applied to carbineers. This has been posted on other threads, and it's a valid argument. The Bounty Hunter class is a jack-of-all-trades profession. Giving them the same abilities and then some as the Carbineer and Pistoleeris quite unfair to those who have chosen these weapons as their sole focus. It makes sense that a Bounty Hunter who has spent a fourth of the time with a carbine as a Carbineer would not be able to knockdown as much. It makes sense that a Pistoleer who has spent his entire class with that weapon would be accurate enough to shoot an Eye Shot, compared to a Bounty Hunter who again, has spent a fourth of the time with the weapon. Just a little logic and common sense.

I refuse to insult the devs, because it's easy to bitch when we're not punching in the code. They have alot of issues to address, not just combat.Besides, insults just get you more problems, not fixes.NEVER complain at a resturant.

If they weren't ment to be spamed then why do they make the hit points on NPC's and creatures so high?

Possibly your right, but then we need higher dmg.

2. Legan_Spidz

Your a wookie which gives you more stat points to use. I play as a human. I have maxed out all my regen and effientency stats and i take 120 points of damage to my action stats. Also to have maxed stats you need to have 700/700/650 HAM. You take one good hit to any of those stats while attacking and your dead.

I would like to find a carbineer that can wear armor besides a deflector shield.
