Havn't tried It yet, but going Master Marksmen/Rifleman commando 4/4 scout 1/0/0/0 and medic 0/2/3/0 I was a master marksmen rifleman, pistoleer with bh 0/03/0 but I had no staying power in PvP, as soon as the jedi showed up, I died in two hits or less. Makes me kinda mad, but oh well. I decided to go commando again because Jedi can't block grenades, and it frees up some SP for some medic. I would go up the flame tree to in commando, but the terrain negotiation in scout has saved my butt way to many times for me to count. Even with only one box in scout, and a travel biscut, this gets me away while I'm in trouble. I also like the way that my new template is a well rounded infantry soldier(sp?). I can throw grenades, use a rocket launcher, am proficient with a pitol and carbine, am basically god with a rifle, and have basic first aid and terrain negotion.

Master Commando/ Master RIfleman/ TKA 3000
No where close to melee in this template. TK is just powerboost and to med off disease and poison.
I like to run around unbuffed alot. The powerboost really helps when I stumble across something big and want to take a whack at it.

This is the template i'm currently working on:
Master Marksman
Brawler 4-x-x-x
Master Commando
Scout 4-x-x-x
Tka 4-3-x-x
Pistoleer x-x-4-x
that uses up all skill points. not sure how it will work out in pve or pvp but i should have the damage mitigation 3 and 2 from commando and pitoleer with stopping shot and fan shot to use with my launcher and then melee mitigation 2 from tka along with its meditate and powerboost so no need for medic skills and the scout is there for terrain negotiation.
What do you guys think of this template? do you think it could serve me well?

This too is what i use, it seems to work great in PVE and PVP, the pistoleer state defenses DO make a difference, in PVP if i kite with my flamer the melee guys have a hard time knocking me down, after i put a couple burns on em i run out of melee range and whip out my geo or laggerpistol... i only wish i had a pistol mind attack... this would be perfect.
IMO, all commando's should max out their melee defenses, it makes all the difference from sh1t to THE Sh1t.
I love firing the lagger with Fan Shot into an appoaching goup of PVP enemy targets, at the very least it slows em down and confuses em.

I'm making my alt a heavy weapon specilaist for RP reasons so this template I've decided on:
Master Commando
BH 0304
Carbineer 0400
Gives me Carbine speed/accuracy, all the heavy weapons, LLC, and good ol bomb droids.
