Thread: Why Become a Carbineer when you can be a bounty Hunter?

The answer is simple. At medium range (say... 30 meters) a carbineer should whip a bounty hunter. We should hit more and fire faster. We have more specials we can use (when they all work). What should happen is, at long range the bounty hunter should hit us with a rifle, switch over to a carbine as he closes with the carbineer, nail us with the LLC at 16 meters and pepper us with pistol fire at point blank. The BH should do more damage to us at long and short ranges, but we should do more damage at medium range.

The answer is simple, the question is hard. Why does the bounty hunter hit faster and more often with a carbine than a carbineer at any range? Admittedly, Carbineers hit more often if we are moving than the BH will, but it's the BH that should be trying to close (or open) the distance between the carbineer.

Don't nerf the Bounty Hunter. PUMP THE CARBINEER! yeah... I like the sound of that.......

I dont think you should be able to master the any of the starting proffessions, only elite proffesions, this would fix everything. And this is off topic, but I hate how armorsmiths need components from tailors. And how bounty hunters need to be master marksmen, in the booksI kn of 2 bounty hunters that only used stolen lightsabers from their marks, or vibroblades, being a bounty hunter has absolutly NOTHING to do with your weapon of choice, its what you do with it that counts. SOE made this games skill mechanics very very poorly. It makes sense that there are skills instead of levels but this skill system is messed up.

Now that I think about Bounty Hunter dose not need to be nefred. It was ment to be a kick ass skill. But you would think that a Carbineer would be able to use a carbine better than a bounty hunter.

And that hit is square between the eyes.

As for logic first shot is the winner? So how can those that do say speed and accuracy don't matter?

I don't give a rats ass how many points someone has spent. A carbineer should ALWAYS be the bestat using a carbine. They've specialised in it. Currently the two primary weapon skills (speed and accuracy) are NOT in the hands of a carbineer. You know the carbine speed cap can't arrive soon enough. Then having too much speed will simply be pointless and we'll all be back to reasonably even footing.

As for the original question.

Because BH is for 'fanboi's' and 15 year old pimply teenagers who can't spell and have the mantra "I am uber, u r pwned' cycling through their heads 24/7 while carbine is for the skilled and dedicated.

Now who said carbines didn't get /flame.

Ok first off going down with the "Creature Handler" thing.... Let me say this. That class was nerfed by novice BHs and Commandos that didn't take the time to get master and just started bitching. You just want to be the best.... And the sad thing is you win because 1 in ever 3 people that play this game isa BH.
