If I did my math right, 36^8, you'd need to copy down 2,821,109,907,456 serial numbers.

Which in turn is (36^8) * 8 bytes, or about 22.5 terabytes... I think I need a bigger hard drive...

And most of us geeks don't listen to the hard drive manufacturer's marketing ploy to believe the larger numbers, so it is really 20.53 TB

But your 22.5 Tb is correct when looking at the "exploit" numbers listed on the box of a hard drive......oh but THAT discussion doesn't belong here any more than a CM nerf discussion

Oh, an array of 92 hard drives at 250 Gb would be required......WHOA.....

I can hear it now:

"Petition to nerf hard drive manufacturers, /sign here!"

"Dell exploited, I'm /report'ing you"

"Senate officially says 'wait for consumer protection act rebalance', and until then because you can do the same back to the manufacturers it's not considered an exploit"

...

/emote refrains from taking invited pot shot at TAfirehawk in regards to CM...

Really, this Carbineer forum has been the ONLY place I've EVER used anything other than basic math skills outside of the classroom.
