I'm planning on going 0440 BH, Master Carbineer, 4043 Pistoleer. Decent state defenses, with some melee defense, 80 dodge, Geo stun pistol cert.

If you want a builder that will let you see what you can get with the changes go to www.swgbounties.com

you can click Master BH first and then drop the 3 lines of scout and keep MBH and then see exactly what you can get with your SP.

After thinking bout it, I'm going to go Mcarbineer/BH 3400/TKA 4000. I'll be able to heal poisons until the devs nerf CMs into oblivion, and force of will would be nice. Powerboost is a cool added bonus. Get intimidate too.

I agree with Bennyboy MC / BH 3400 / TKA 4000

I checked last night at all my exp... Master Carb/ currently tka 3002 / scout 3000 /marksman 0044 and I have capped carbine exp 900k thats enough for 0300 BH. So I need just a little bit to grind probably be ready by Friday.

I guess MB/MC with Medic 3300 could be a viable option? But would you really have a fair chance of taking out Jedi for example? How effective is SprayShot and what does it do ?

In the downloads section you will see Kodan's Profession Calculator. D/L the .zip file (roughly 800kb).

Next, go in the news section, and click on the "BH Skill Change" topic. Scroll down in the thread and you will see a message posted by Kodan. It has a data file attachment, a last minute change due to the sudden BH changes coming about. When you unzip the calculator to a folder, the newer data file from Kodan's post replaces it, implementing the upcoming BH changes.

With Master Carbineer & Master Bounty Hunter, you will have access to everything Carbine related and all Carbine skill mods: Accuracy 200! Speed 115! All on top of being a Master Carbineer.

You will have only 18 skill points left. If you want all offense you could go up to the 3rd tier of one of the Pistoleer trees. Otherwise, you could try something like Medic 1000 to give yourself a chance to heal, esp. if you solo alot.

As for Spray Shot, from what I've been reading around the forums, BH's consider it one of the last saving graces of being a Master or one of the best in the game. Nefarious-X posted in our forums this about Sprayshot:

"Sprayshot is fantastic. It applies dizzy/blind/stun at an extremely reliable rate. Hell I used to dizzy Fencers left and right with this special (kd was another issue). Its not quite as consistent as confusionshot, but has a much higher damage output (6.5 I think) and also a stun effect. Its basically a fullautosingle2 that actually can apply a state in the first few shots and deals more damage."

So realistically you go MBH/MC/Medic 1000 and takea Jedi Mission with Armour, buffs and some decent weaponry - SprayShot accepted, are you going to stand a reasonable chance of winning or will the lack of melee defence mean you'll come a cropper? What about PvE, what level of MOB are you likely to be able to stand against?

I think the players that believe they can go 1 on 1 against a Jedi are fools. Bring friends.

The only BH templates that can take on jedi is like Master Fencer/BH 3000 or TKM/BH 3000.

I've decided on Mcarbineer/MBH/Novice Brawler. I'll consider it my specialty to beat melee stackers w/o using poison by using intimidate and stun to slice thier defense, blind so they don't hit me as much (to make up for my low defense), and dizzy to KD them. My 225 accuracy should take care of thier low defense.

I've gota macro in mind for 1v1 fights

(first make sure sprayshot has all 3 states landed and get in range)

/intimidate;

/warcry;

/aim;

/aim;

/aim;

/sprayshot;

/actionshot1;

/chargeshot1;

Silly Macro Imp Boy......you forget that I can Intimidate and apply all 3 States too.....then ScatterShot2 or CripplingShot

But I will say that is one of the better macros I have seen

OK after great debate I think this is what I'm gonna do:

BH 3400

Carb 0404

Fencer 4040

TK 4004

Novice Medic

I'm thinking this will give me good defences and strong firepower. I don't get sprayshot but I...well I guess I get to be a melee stacker Grrr...someone talk me out of this. I don't really want to drop Master Carbineer but I can't seem to find a reason to keep it. Maybe I should just run my Harvs until the CB then figure something else out after the dust settles.

The more I think about it, it seems everybody thinks the world of intimidate. Blind is nice, and stun is nice, but intimidateseemsessential to high end combat, to the point that all ranged professions want a ranged intimidate attack. This seems remarkably similar to the problem with stun damage, that one thing is a lot better than equivalent damage types (or states in this case).

Has there been any serious talk about reducing the effectiveness of intimidate, or increasing the effect of stun and blind in an attempt to better balance them? The fact that many ranged professions pick up novice brawler for that single ability seems somewhat indicative of it's power and importance as compared to stun and blind...
