I think that the DEVs should be asking us questions instead of visa versa, there would probably be a net increase in knowledge gained from the current system.

There's nothing that we can really ask them that won't get the "standard combat revamp response" or the standard "very undetailed response that doesn't tell us any information we don't know"

I say we ask about weapon selection and damage types or sticking states, knowing full well that we will probably get the combat revamp response. At least it reminds them again that it is important to us.

I absolutely LOVE this idea. Lets ask when TH will turn the tables and ask each profession a question.

Althought I believe some of this goes on thru the Correspondent Forum.....Nova can answer this exactly but I do know that TH does ask the Corrs for things....

Believe me, Nova, I'd never make the accusation that you're not beating the drum for us with the Devs. Your results to date dispel any doubts about your performance.

To be honest, my posts here are just frustration at not being able to come up with anything to ask that would be reasonably answered without having the stock "wait till the Revamp" thrown back at us.

I mean, if what we are now is what we're meant to be, there's alot of tweaking that needs to be done to make us worth something.

If nothing strikes us, we could ask something like "[blah blah blah we are weak because]. Is the Carbineer profession currently as you invisioned it to be?"

It won't reveal anything brilliantly useful, but then what does with this silly exercise. At least the response would be interesting to dissect.

I think my Krayt Elite and my Krayt Laser, both with stocks and scopes, are both very "graphically attractive."

Publish 11 is Combat Balance.....

Publish 11 will need to be tested in the "sandbox" for quite some time, but Character Copy will speed the process up a bit. So you might be right, around the end of August for the Combat Balance.

In concept page...

Changes to the existing Galactic Civil War will be considered for the month of January and implemented in March.

On the thread subject, I really wanted to know for some time now if accuracy mods on weapons are capped at +50. I have an elite with +81 to ideal, but if I stay 40m away from a mob, the accuracy figure above the said mob doesn't go beyond 50.

That page hasn't been maintained correctly - the dates you show refer to January and March 2004. This was dicussed in another thread somewhere.

Back on-topic for a second, I dunno whether this is appropriate or not - but I'd love to know why my BH/Carbineer 4000 buddy is far more effective than I with regards to speed and applying states. As a Master Carbineer this does not seem right.

Okay so the question is going to be accuracy and accuracy while moving.

Keeping in mind that the Devs won't reveal the formula, can anyone or everyone help me pose this as 1 question? I see it as 2 questions and they will only answer 1. Any help?

Does the original Carbine Accuracy mod stil apply while moving, or is it totally replaced by the Carbine accuracy while moving mod?

or

I'm guessing that moving gives a flat penalty to your base accuracy, which is then in turn affected by the accuracy while moving. If this is correct, could you elaborate on this? If not, how DOES it work?

Man this is a hard question to word, so many variables. I even thought of another one, is accuracy while moving subject to penalty by ranged defense?

At master Carbineer we have +130 accuracy and +30 accuracy while moving. Since we get less accuracy while moving than plain old accuracy many carbineers have assumed that this is a "better" type of accuracy. As there is little to no known information on the differences between these two types of accuracy we decided to ask this as our question. The theory that we had come up with was that accuracy applies at all times, both standing and moving, and takes a predetermined penalty depending on how fast you are moving and from your opponent's ranged defense. Accuracy while moving is either one of two things. Just a bonus to accuracy that is applied while you are moving and who's points during that time are subject to the same movement and ranged defense penalties as regular accuracy. Or a bonus to accuracy that is applied while moving, who's points are special and are not subject to penalty from motion or from the target's ranged defense. Are either of these theories even close and how would you describe the difference between accuracy and accuracy while moving?

lol, maybe you can shorten and clean that up Nova. If we don't lay out our theory and sort of make it simple for them to answer we are going to get a simple answer like: accuracy while moving is accuracy that only applies while you are moving

I would phrase it simply:

In an ideal situation to maximize the effect of the accuracy while moving skill, is +10 accuracy while moving better than, equal to, or worse than +10 accuracy?

Any further details about when and how accuracy, accuracy while moving, standing still, and running around all interplay would be very much appreciated, but we understand the inability to reveal formula and the core question (as perviously stated) does not request that.

Can you please explain the differences between accuracy and accuracy while moving, and how theywork together to influence our overall accuracy whilewe are moving?

This is assuming that there is no effect from AWM if you are standing still, so we want to know exactly how they work together to influence over all accuracy, if they do, while we are moving.
