I'd like to throw my two cents on this list here. I read over the replies but didn't seethis mentioned so if I missed it, my apologies.


I've always been under the impression that carbineers are an action-based combat class.


Pistoleers have health bleeds and torso shots, riflemen have mind shots...we have action


CS should rightly be the high-end action shot to compensate our two action bleeds. Instead it hits mainly on health most of the time and works against our actionshots. Legshot is weaker but should have a greater chance to stun...why aren't we suggesting that CS be retooled as a single powerful action shot so it's more inline with our profession?


The name says it all, it's a CRIPPLING SHOT! Yet it does nothing to actually cripple the target. This should really be a higher cost slower shot that could even use a posture change along with it so it actually performs the way it's implied.

Not true.

Bounty Hunters have their own more-effective knockdowns.

Using SprayShot, ConfusionShot and FireKnockdown a BH can dizzy you so badly that you can't get up. They do not, and never needed, ChargeShot1.

BH's are an offensive powerhouse with 0 defenses. Many BHs take up BH 3400 and master Carbineer because that combination gives them the best ranged defenses, state-effect defenses & counterattack while still being able to take Jedi missions. Carbineer is the best profession to compliment their existing skills. Many Master Bounty Hunters will take up Carbineer 0040 just for the defenses the BH profession woefully lacks. ChargeShot1, even in its pre-patch condition, is no match for a BH's Dizzy+KD specials.

I was a Master Bounty Hunter until Patch6 because BHs got SCREWED. Their droids and bugs didn't get fixed at all which means they couldn't do their job of jedi population control, player bounties were still not implemented, and investigation missions were, and still are, so bugged on occasion that you struggle not to throw a brick thru your monitor.

But I digress...

ChargeShot is a SLOW, unreliable attack because it must be done while standing: the most inaccurate stance for attacking. SprayShot+Confusionshot+FireKD can all be fired from prone after aiming, nearly guaranteeing a dizzy that will keep most opponents on the ground so effectively you could almost walk up and finish them off with a Survival Knife.

Your assessment of Bounty Hunter's abilities and reasons for learning Carbineer are completely false. I'd recommend trying the profession before making such uninformed comments in the future.

Ashla and Drakainen are right!!! Fullauto area is broken!! Noticed it myself while area attacking jawas. The targetted mob recieves damage, but the secondaries will not!! The numbers pop over their head as if everything worked, and if you look in the combat log everything seems ok, but the ham bars of the secondary mobs will still be at 100%. I think this belongs on the list of broken specials.

Every Cone Attack in the game is bugged in this way. Period


And there you go.. it is a system-wide bug in which only the actual target recieves the dmg from the first shot. I'm positive the DEVs know about this, and -hopefully- with Pub7 or 8 they will fix this once and for all.

Yes, but only the dmg is the only thing bugged.... all the other intented mobs still recieve status/posture effects of your cone attack... just something to keep in mind.

I've been using wildshot2 to effectively mow down groups of stormtroopers for the past couple weeks. It works just fine.


Granted, I was in full composite and buffed out of my mind, but it was great fun nonetheless.

WildShot2 does HALF the DPS of FullAutoSingle2.....and equal DPS to FullAutoArea2 which does a lot more than just Stun....but to each his own. It is nice to change Special Attacks to add variety, especially when we will have so many working specials with Publish 7.

I can't wait for burstshot2. I swear, I doubt I'm going to be using any single-target attacks after publish 7.
