Thread: A real problem with what they did today
Oops, here's the screenshot that I was supposed to post.
It's mostly just funny I think. This guy was one of the fools that said CS1 was "working as intended".

You're obviously right that it didn't work as intended, but it still does not, and the devs haven't fixed anything else that's broken with the profession. That's why most of us are upset. And again, to set the record straigt, I have been shot by the target at whom I was spamming charge shot; in its pre-nerf status, it did not render a target helpless. All it did was keep the target in one place. It did not actually work like a real kd, and guess what; it still does not. I hope you were equally diligent in /bug reporting all other broken carbineer specials, because the ineffective broken specials are about all we have left.
It took two to do that it only takes 1 tka/fencer/pikeman to do that and faster.

Why dont you go and take a look at my Signature? Then go look at the Jedi forums, come back and tell me I dont have the right to troll wherever I want. Not that I'm even trolling, you guys are the trolls complaining about this. I never had a problem with Carbineer KD, not like I ever got killed by it, but I do know it was seriousally overpowered. Like I said, just because you guys are broken to hell doesnt mean you should have a special that keeps a target on its back for hours on end if you want, thats not how PvE is supposed to work and you know that.
Btw, defense mod stacking was nerfed aswell, and everything will be balanced later on, the simple fact is the devs needed to stop the exploiting of this special a.s.a.p because some really ridiculious things were happening. My two friends, on a carbineer the othera commando, were solo-ing Dark Jedi Masters non stop for weeks using charge shot, because the DJM cant get up or do anything. Do you think that is the way it is supposed to work? Two people killing a dark jedi master without even getting hit once or being in any risk? Or one commando/carbineer with charge shot killing krayt all day? You would have to be very naive to think this wasnt going to be nerfed.

It was fixed at the cost of an entire profession. Seeing as how nothing else works well, and the hamcosts are insane, that 'fix' didnt help carbineers, it justforced the dabblers to go elsewhere to find exploits to be ub3r.
Maybe you should think about why it was so cheap before you say anything about it, and post your thoughts elsewhere, because hard working carbineers dont needto be subjectedto your negitive opinions.

chargeshot1 was nerfed, yes. at the cost of the entire profession. We are now completely worthless.
I had a running bet with my guildie, a TKM/Master Doctor, that i could beat him 80% of the time with carbines, because of my strategy (no, it wasn't spamming chargeshot1, but it did use chargeshot1 about once every 15 seconds.) This was with us both buffed. Now, with us both buffed, I have absolutely no chance, despite the fact that i am a defense stacker. That's right, absolute zero. Why? because all but 3 of our other specials are broken.
I don't PvE much, i am a PvP centered character. As of now, my template is basically worthless, even with +200 to counterattack. I don't see any rationale for nerfing the one move that made us a viable profession just because BH/Carbineers were abusing it to the point of overpowering. None of the non-BHs could do it to that extent.
As I, and many of the other carbineers on this board have said, we would be perfectly fine with chargeshot1 being on a timer AS LONG AS THE MAJORITY OF OUR OTHER SPECIALS WERE FIXED. That means FAS1&2, FAA1&2, Legshot3, Chargeshot2, Wildshot1&2 being changed to a non-redundant form (all of the FullAuto specials perform stun, as well as blind).
We have been informed that we will be getting our fixes in publish 7, but its not enough. The devs should have left chargeshot1 alone until the rest of our specials were fixed. How would all the TKMs feel if dizzy/KD was the only move keeping them competitive (ie, UA3, the mind hit, and 90% of their other specials were broken) and they got that taken away?
my 2 combat professions as of now, Carbineer and Swordsman, have just been nerfed into oblivion. Carbineer depended on chargeshot1 to survive without BH, and swordsman depended on bleeds to do damage in general. Even defense stacking won't keep me competative now.
The moral of this rant is: Before you cry nerf, consider who it hurts the most (which might not be who you really want nerfed) and if they are still a usefull class afterwards. It's called "thinking things through", which may be an unfamiliar concept to most of you. But you have to do it, otherwise you are just an ignorant piece of **edit** with nothing better to do than cry.

They took the TIME to "adjust" an admittedly screwy move. (Although the dev's said it was "working as intended" someone get this clown the link...)
BUT they didn't have TIME to fix the 50% of our redundant or broken specials? (or even one? Does each special have its own department at SOE or something? and this month the charge shot team was called up? and the rest were on vacation? no I don't think so, the same clown that tweaked charge shot was probably in the same file that would have fixed a few others, but since they are clueless and retarded they probably didnt realize anything else was broken)
IF they had completely REMOVED charge shot, but gave us 4 other shots THAT WORKED! you would only be hearing a handful of complaints!

Now, who in the hell do you thing you are?????? Oh, I'm sorry mister dark jedi apprentice, I forgot we should all bow down to you. Unbelievable!!!! You feel you have the right to troll wherever you want because you unlocked your fs slot? I don't give a damn if you mastered every prof in the game. Likely, you kept them for about 5 min and on to the next. Also, no one has the right to troll any forum, especially one in which you aren't a member. That was, without a doubt, one of the most arrogant statements I've ever heard in this game. It appears that you evaluate your importance based on your accomplishments in a game. Very sad.
