Why dont you go and take a look at my Signature? Then go look at the Jedi forums, come back and tell me I dont have the right to troll wherever I want. Not that I'm even trolling, you guys are the trolls complaining about this. I never had a problem with Carbineer KD, not like I ever got killed by it, but I do know it was seriousally overpowered. Like I said, just because you guys are broken to hell doesnt mean you should have a special that keeps a target on its back for hours on end if you want, thats not how PvE is supposed to work and you know that.
Btw, defense mod stacking was nerfed aswell, and everything will be balanced later on, the simple fact is the devs needed to stop the exploiting of this special a.s.a.p because some really ridiculious things were happening. My two friends, on a carbineer the othera commando, were solo-ing Dark Jedi Masters non stop for weeks using charge shot, because the DJM cant get up or do anything. Do you think that is the way it is supposed to work? Two people killing a dark jedi master without even getting hit once or being in any risk? Or one commando/carbineer with charge shot killing krayt all day? You would have to be very naive to think this wasnt going to be nerfed.

What is that one move TK have? The one where they hit one button and it dizzy/kd and keeps you on your back until the dizzy wears off?
Fixing charge shot is fine...it needed it, but give us somethign useful with it, not just a punch in the face saying "Here, we took away the only thing that kept you alive, now go play for a month and hope for Publish 7, we may have thought about doing something about your requests then, but that is just a maybe. Don't count on it. BTW, we put a timer on your other KD (CS2) to keep you guys from exploiting, it doesn't KD, butwe fixed it anyways"
I know you said PvE,and dizzy/KD doesn't work on creatures, but it does work on NPCs.
Spamming chargeshot to allow other people to take shots at a krayt dragon, dark jedi master, etc. should not be allowed. There is nothing realistic about 2 people taking out a canyon Krayt dragon.
Although, I definetely believe the timing of this fix was way off. Forget keeping brawlers out of range with those 20 meter lunges they have. ![]()

There's no doubt about it. What charge shot 1 did needed to go. The absence of a knockdown timer being an intended effect was not up for debate. It was supposed to have a timer, as was told to people through thousands of tickets. I myself did a bug report on charge shot 1 when I was a master carbineer. However not everyone knew this, as not everyone accesses the forums and as some people(mostly carbineers) were telling less experienced players that Charge Shot 1 was "working as intended", which it most certainly wasn't. This being the case, sometimes it was difficult to tell who was "exploiting" the bugged special, and who was not.

The problem with this picture is pretty clear, and I probably don't have to elaborate on it any further. I saw someone post about how they don't see the problem with charge shot. Let's take Carbineer Vs Jedi, as an example. Have you seen what happens to someone if you repeatately fired charge shot in a manner like that screenshot above? The person does not stand up, there is no time to do so because the knockdown is being applied so fast, given that the carbineer is using a fast gun like a DH17 snub nose. So the carbineer continuously fires charge shot on said character and does so until that person is incapacitated. During this time, the person is defenceless and cannot fight back. It was a problem whether you want to believe it or not. What people have been saying about Charge Shot, is not whining. It was trying to make a large enough uproar about a horrible imbalance, that needed to be addressed. Calling it whining only means that you wanted to protect it, making you a guilty party.
NOW, all of that being said, on the original topic of this thread...Carbineer, besides Doctor, was my most thoroughly played profession. And yes the biggest problem with what this patch did was turn carbineer from a profession that was played by: people looking for a challenge, people seeking to abuse charge shot, and holo grinders(pardon if I left out any other less populated reasons). Now carbineer is played by two sorts of people, those looking for a challenge, and those hologrinding meaning they are only playing it because they HAVE to. Without an abusable special, there is no-positive-aspect-to-Carbineer. I agree, very much so, that carbineer is one of the worst, if not THE worst combat profession in the game right now. They NEEDED to add something else to carbineer to make it viable when they took away charge shot, but they didn't. And now you guys get shafted because of it. Anyone that's kept the damn prof for this long I give respect to, because it takes a lot of nuts to get anywhere with it, even if you did have CS1.
Bottom line, I'm basiclly just trying to clear up the fact that people haven't been "whining", they been frustrated and were just trying to see something get fixed. And the same goes for all of you, asking for Carbineer to be fixed. The sad thing is though, there are more of them and less of you. Hopefully your profession is taken care of soon. I'd love to see a little variety for once instead of all of these riflemen running around. Rifles make carbines and pistols obsolete, and it's destroying PvP.
