Also, the devs said point blank 3 or 4 weeks ago there were no plans for adding new guns to the carbineer arsenal. While they might change their minds, it is doubtful they would do so so quickly and without telling us. This is especially true because of all the grumbling that happened from the answer, and announcing a "we changed our minds" would be a good way to make many carbineers happy (although I guess it might encourage more grumbling from other classes).
