3 months into the game with a fs crafter and maxed points? Something doesnt add up here!

just saying it can be done.. im only just over 3 months into the game and by playing smart ive managed to do this... the main point i guess i was trying to make was that skill tapes make alot of difference - and if your serious about pvp you should try to get as many as you can. get a good damage weapon and use the insane bonuses on some of the new chef foods.. and it can allow anyone to achieve what ive done - the attachments have only cost me about 15 mill total - most of the rest is in the adk RIS - which is nice but not essential as if you fight well you will not take much damage yourself..

I feel obligated to pipe in here for just a moment -
I've been a Master Armorsmith/Master Weaponsmith for about a year and a half. I am still the poorestcrafter I know on the game. Don't EVER assume that crafters make money hand over fist. I owe an IG friend almost 1mil. Agreed, I'm only 10pt on both sides - not the greatest. Due to the fact that I've never been rich, I've never been able to acquire the tapes for more. Being so tied up in crafting skills (I do prefer it to combat), I don't have decent combat skills at all (Lvl31 Carbineer post-CU).
However nice it would be to have that type of tapes suite, I know I'll never see it. However nice it would be to have a 12pt suit for at least one of my professions, I know I'll never see that either. I made my character the way I like him, and I generally don't complain. Please NEVER generalize and say that ALL crafters are money-bags.

Duly agreed, and noted, I should've perhaps been more careful with the words I used. HOWEVER, the majority of the "mega rich" players are crafters, or people who have access to a second account they use as a crafting profession.

Anyone can make millions of credits without being a crafter. As another poster mentioned, collect resources. Last summer, I was making 3 million credits per week by collecting and selling resources. Low maintenance and lots of cash. If you really want to rake in the creds with resources, do cross-server lot trades.
im still surprised at how well i can do - and yes i know most people dont have lots of credits.. but it does show the value of the +5s etc you can loot easily at the aakunan caves on talus - stack them up and it will make a world of diff to a single master

where do you people get this stuff....
crafters are not even close to being the richest people in the game. the richest people in the game are those uber combat people you see camping lord nyax looting +20 SEA's and selling them for 10mil+ each. yes crafters make money but combat people can make much more money if they spend the time to find the loot.
as for combat people not being able to make money thats just ridiculous. grind out 500k credits buy yourself some power and harvestors find a good spawn put them down get 500k resources, sell it at 4cpu and wow you just made 2mil while the harvestors did all the work. then go out hunting make 100k an hour on this missions collect 50k hide in that time while your harvetors are still making you free money, sell that hide for 6cpu, theres another 400k... so lets see thats 500k an hour if your hunting the right things, plus and extra 2mil or so a week from harvestors, not counting any loot you get. not seeing this "combat people can't make money" thing.
and all those attachments are great, but a good combat person who knows what their doing won't even be bothered by someone with 1.6k health. the jedi oviously wasn't paying attension if he was killed that fast (no offense to the poster your oviously a good fighter and that paid off).
also buying attachments slowly does take time, but if you look for good deals they will come. i just bought a +17 General Ranged Accuracy SEA for only 5 mil, as other people are paying 20+mil.
anyway hope i've shown some people how to make more money, i've been playing for a long time and i only went WS for a short time to make my own carbines, didn't even sell anything, but i've managed to aquire almost the same amount of stuff as the poster. (don't have a fully ADK'd suit of armor and i am still looking for +25 carbine defence and +25 General Ranged Speed) but i've made my millions by buying/selling and taking time to find better deals
very true - the master WS tag i carry tends to make duelers think im a pushover - the 2nd/3rd times i duel people they are generally much tougher opponents for me- that said i have had a series of duels with master DOC - masterTK - and master DOC master Rifles - players and i am leading both sets comfortably.
