The ineffectiveness of some weapons, such as the Elite Carbine, was included in my first report. The answer I got was asking how it was ineffective. I have since then, for the past month, included why. However, for this week and the weeks to come I will link this petition along with it.


As for the Elite Carbine, I don't think we'll be seeing it as AR3 since the devs will most likely release new weapons for each Elite Profession some point later in the game. But there needs to be a reason to use the Elite Carbine. This seems to be a common problem with the othertwo Elite Combat professions. The Riflemen want the T-21 the way it was, the AP on the DX2 is broken and the Elite Carbine doesn't match up to the Laser Carbine.

I find my recently purchased elite carbine collecting dust while i use a newly made dh17 short carbine. A weapon that people with carbine 1 can use is better than what carbineers have.

Pistols do more damage at a higher speed than the best carbines. My smuggler friend has a fwg5 (or whichever jumble of letters is correct for it, but you know what i mean) and it does 42-240 at 1speed using advanced components.

We cant do advanced components on anything higher than like a dh17 because all the parts need to drop off the same mob (like factory crate items) for identical serial numbers.

Carbines are consistantly the crappiest of the guns for stats AND elite carbine is a joke. Pleeeeeeeease fix our weapons and rework the elite carbine.

Not to mention we have the least variance in wep attack types of the other shooter classes (energy, acid, heat)... bleh...

And give the Elite carbine an added bonus to AOE attacks...it is our bread and butter...it is what sets us apart from every other class...the elite should reflect this.

I got a DXr6 hits for 150-211 speed 3.9 (sliced)



My FWG hits 55-197 2.0 speed



Thats pathetic... Fix our class, the only thing the elite has is accuracy, as for damage goes, its woefully underpowered and the Ham costs of carbines is ridiculous, speaking as a novice gunfighter (very novice but a pistol is a useful sidearm) the ham costs are totally disproportionate. With my FWG I can sit and spam whatever special attack I desire, and not have to worry about the drains of the ham pool. VS my carbine, two sprays of full auto, and I'm in trouble. THis forces me to have the medic skill just to be partially combat effective.



Fix our profession devs, Commando's got love, now where is ours? Especially with the heavy weapons out there we need something that can compete.

Put yourself in the devs shoes. They have already said they don't have time to play much and even if they did it wouldn't give them the perspective of 225,000 people playing all the time.


You are a dev. The carbineers come to you and say "THE ELITE CARBINE IS BROKEN FIX IT"


What in the world do you do? Could you spend a ton of time researching things yourself on top ofyour already busy schedule or would it help if the carbineers said something like the following:


The weapon is no better than a E11 Carbine speed wise, damage wise, AP wise and HAM wise.


The damage and speed should be increased to make it worthwhile. It's damage and speed is exactly on par with a tier 2 skill box weapon from the Marksman Carbine discipline and we feel that is too low and too slow. (hey that rhymes)


The damage should be increased while decreasing the speed. Just doing those two would make the weapon worthwhile and go a long way to improving it's use.


We have only3 types of damage. The EE3 does heat damage which is AR0. The DXR6 does acid damage which is AR1 and all others do energy. Perhaps the Elite could do a different damage type to put our carbine selection on par with the many amounts of damage pistols can do.


The DXR6 which is tier 4 weapon from the marksman line is superior damage and speed wise to the elite carbine which is given at Novice Carbineer. Since the weapon is called Elite it should be a weapon worth using and so far it is not. Why should we spend the extra credits to buy an elite carbine when we could just get an E11 and do the same damage.
