Grover,

Consider doubling up on complimentary professions. Carbines, Pistols, and Rifles are all much easier when you're a CH.Last night I killed 43 rancors, for 4,400 Carbine XP each, with the help of a CL 35-ish meat shield and a guild Smuggler who wanted to work on his Pistol XP. (Hewas getting about 1,300 Pistol XP for each kill.)

I'd previously hunted quenkers, savage quenkers, huurton huntresses, and pretty much any other high-level mob I could find. But without a group or a meat shield, it will be harder.

So consider picking up CH or joining a hunting group (as others have mentioned). I started carbines last weekend, and am already 3313. The holo-grind is a bit easier with planning.

DXR-6...Doc buffs and Brandy, soloing enraged rancors without much of a prob, doing ranger at the same time so its pretty beneficial doing those instead of something else that is 5k in xp.

One thing I did was head to a small faction battlefield on Corellia (props to my guild for pointing the way). It is north of Coronet about 5 clicks. I don't have a waypoint since I'm at work but I imagine a quick google will reveal one. I liked it because of the combo of xp and fp. Plus with enough kills you can actually make some money of your loots.
