Rifle xp too hard?? Are you kidding me?

First off, if you are switching professions, have your combat xp maxed out and you can start with 0003 and the rather nice speed enhancement that gets you. Grab a Jawa Rifle, , get buffed, plus some speed power ups and Citrus Snowcake and run around the newbie worlds like a Carbineerwith FullAutoArea2and FlurryShot2 your way to your first skill box.

Then get 0103 for ConcealShot and grab a crateofbrandy and ahrisaand settle in like a proper deer hunter. Find a spawn of the biggest, nastiest mobs you can damage with your rifle and /prone and /takecover. Keep your cue stacked with ConcealShot and pull up a cooler of beer next to your desk. Takes forever at first, but with some speed power ups, you can drop mobs in modest timewithout any risk to you at all.

I soloed an AT-ST on my second day as a Rifleman with no trouble at all. I've soloed things as an 0103 Rifleman I wouldn't dare go head to head with as a Carbineer. Its just a different mindset to this profession.

Its not difficult, just mind numbingly boring.

However, wewere talking about marksman rifles, not rifleman. (This conversation came about in regards to getting BH.)

Very good points. If I ever decide to try rifles again (/shudder), I'll have to keep that in mind.

It would be so nice if takecover was in the support line instead of the rifles one so I could use it... It makes more sense to me too. Oh well.

Ah, Marksman level Rifles is easy. Get a CH buddy to let you use his pet as a tank on Dantooine and take a Graul Mauler mission.

If you are starting from Novice Marksman, you should be Rifles III by the time the mission times out on you. Just use the pet and go prone. Use a DLT20a and OverChargeShot1. Repeat a few more times on Rifles IV.

Wow, that's impressive. The -45 accuracy seems annoying, but 1643-5669 damage? And this weapon doesn't have a powerup snuck on it to make it seem more fearsome than it really is.

I noticed the 31.9% wound chance on it. Am I correct in saying that this , coupled with the 3500 average damage, means if you get hit with it 2 or 3 times, you will be black barred? Not very friendly...

Wound Chance does not work that way....it just means 1 in 3 hits will cause wounds, usually just 1 wound as reported in the borked Combat Log.

All my Krayt Carbines have >30% Wound Chance and the black bar effect NEVER happens.....they die too quick....especially Imps

EEK! Got my friend that just recently mastered weaponsmith to make me a LC with imp stock, imp scope, adv barrel and the best materials we can find (not all that great :/) and it came out to 3.1 63-295- I've never seen a LC lower than 3.5 and I went to get a smuggler and hoped for a damage slice only to get a 32% speed slice!! 2.1 speed now, but hey I can get to spam FAA2 at such a sick speed.

Here's a pic, very nice looking gun with all visible stock, scope and barrel and it reminds me of some Russian rifle (I forget its name).

Thanks, but "wrong forum"? This is the carbineer forum and we were discussing how I should get my LC and DXR6 made in the first page so I thought of posting my results with the LC and will again with the DXR6.
