I will repeat this again and again

The Elite weapons are not tweaked yet, of course the new ones are as they had to be given fresh stats......

And is this on LIVE yet, NO....we have testing to do yet but all Elite Trainers have been removed from TC5.

Hehe, so all our uber weapons are most likely getting nerfed, id rather get my millions of credits back and they can destroy my uber carbs if they are gonna become balanced. That way i can just buy more carbines anyway and have a slightly worse carbine than i had before.

The new system ties the cost and speed of specials to the weapon, instead of Action and Mind substats, so this may be where the elite really shines. No-one has commented on the range, speed,or HAM costs of these weapons so far, and from my understanding, they will bekey elements in the "new order".

It could also end up having an accurracy bonus or bonus to success of state changes, so that we will be even more involved in the crowd control aspect than having to have an uber leet weapon to pound somebody like we have for the last 2 years.

It is impossible to get to any Carbine past the E11.....Elite Trainers have been removed on TC5 so that is why there are no comments

i think one thing that we all much remember is that all teh carbines we are testing are from "Blue Frogs". now i know they do give us a ball-park rage for the stats but, once players can craft them i think we will see some very different stats.

just what i think

Thank you and goodnight

Devs say all weapons will have a purpose[...]

I very much hope that you are right. From all the info we have right now it looks like every profession has a "top-grade" weapon, all other weapons of the profession are just to be used as long as you are not certified for the "best" weapon.

The devs seem to have worked out a nice concept to bring in some variety of used armours, i hope that we'll also see a big variety of weapons used in the field...

Of course I am right....the Devs SAY.....that one is easy, but who knows how well it will work in-game

No matter what they do we will all have our favorite weapons, hopefully there will be different ones with different purposes for each of our tastes.

This is real simple in my opinion on the weapon cert's.

A MASTER CARBINEER IS A MASTER CARBINEER AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE CERTIFIED IN ALL CARBINE WEAPONS. Hence the term MASTER. lol............

What about a specific weapon (just happens to be called the E5 Carbine and could have been the E5 Rifle) that is a specific reward for SL and has a specific purpose and specific balance ONLY TO SL?

Are we Carbineers so greedy that no other prof should get any weapon that even resembles a Carbine? I surely hope not. I suggest we all hold judgement until TC5 at least gets to the level of testing the CU so we know how the other Carbines play in the other profs relative to our weapons and power/play style.

I haven't looked at the melee weapons, but I do know that VK's, Pistols, Rifles and Carbines are being specifically designed for hybrid profs only....those hybrid profs like BH/SL/Commando/Smuggler need some type of weapon to use and it must be BALANCED for the specific prof along with falling into an existing category if at all possible.

We are all allowed our opinions on this matter and every matter here, but yelling about it without considering the flip side is just an opinion based on emotion and not fact.....I prefer to deal in facts first, then get emotional

I agree, I was so happy with the so cool looking Proton, E5 and Czerka carbines. Now it seems we can't even use them. They should give the certification both to Carbineers and the other professions, both happy.
