I'm pretty sure AS will lower your target regardless of your posture; as a rule, I kneel or prone before attacking and still knock stuff down.

Well, one thing to be wary of is being prone and trying to AS a charging opponent. If they get to point-blank before your AS goes off, it'll be too close to shoot from the prone position. So, if they are starting to get close, I'll often raise from prone to kneeling, just in case.

This is disturbing to me if true. The main reason why I have focused on Carbineer is for Charged shot 2 for the multiple knockdown, hope they fix this.

in the past few days, i've spent MUCH time hunting biz natches on dathomir. now that they assist, and are aggro, i have no fear in using as2. i've noticed that while it IS capable of bleeding multiple targets at a time with it, usually if there are 2+ after me, the one i have targeted at will NOT get the bleed...but others will. there is also a high percentage of a posture-down to kneeling, which they are then slower to get up from than the knockdown. the knock-down attack (charge shot) is such bunk IMHO. it has a HIGH cost, does LOW damage, and is totally not worth either when we have as1 and as2 to use instead.

legshot 3 seems to be doing LESS damage for me than legshot2, but i rarely use either one due to high ham costs so damage may not be reliable (using a 25-250 laser carb). when i have multiple targets chasing me, i like to use as2 and full-auto area. with one target, i like to use as2 and full-auto single. i do NOT spam out either one, since i fight multiple mobs with 10k ham bars (thank god for terrain negotiation!) that hit for 300s through armor.

as2 will do at LEAST 4k bleed damage, at least it does for me with my carb. i'll use as2 on the group of mobs, and concentrate firepower on one as much as possible before switching targets. i've seen it stop after approx 4.3k damage, but its also kept going after more than 7k. as1 was MUCH less efective when i used it, both in terms of bleed damage done and damage/bleed-tick.

Couple of quick questions...

1) How can you tell how much damage the bleed is doing? I hit a creature with AS2 and it starts to bleed, but I never see any bleed damage show up in the Combat window. So, the question becomes, is the thing not really bleeding or does it just not show up in the window?

2)Does our bleed work on action or health?

Thanks.

carbine bleeds affect the action pool.

Bleed damage will never show up in the combat tab, you just need to watch for the green floating number on top of its head or its hp bar each time the bleed tick hits.

Just got burstShot2 and chargeShot1 today. chargeShot seems to work ok, although I would prefer to do away with the animation. burstShot2, however seems to do no more damage than burstShot1 and is still single target. Has anyone else noticed this? I was looking forward to stealing a little bit of that XP back from my TK buddy.

For high HAM creatures, I find the most effective way to kill them is to bleed them with AS1 and AS2 (the different bleed attacks stack), then use non-specials and an AS1 every 5 seconds to keep it pinned and away from me. After a few minutes, the bleed willadd upand I can hasten up the kill with legshots. You can't spam specials or you wil kill yourself! And there is no point in full auto shots because that hits health, and you are trying to kill it via action pool.

So far this tactic works perfectly for me.

I still have a problem with groups though... especially groups of 5-6 wrix (on Corelia). It seems some of the bastards always slip through my AS2 spams, and I end up getting mauled (unless my pet intercepts them).

Anyway got a good tactic for using special moves to contain group aggro melee enemies?

Legshot2 is a single target attack with a x2 damage modifier, but also a x1.5 attackspeed modifier.

Legshot3 is supposed to be a cone attack with a x3, but a x2 speed modifier.

Even if it worked propperly, the additional attack delay balances out the bonus damage, leaving the cone nature of the attack to only barely compensate for the considerably higher HAM cost of this attack. but since the cone doesn't seem to work (at least for me) and the increase in damage appears to be minimal, this special isn't worth using right now.
