that's what i thought when someone told me about a "slug thrower". i was thinking slug, as in a hunk of lead.
Love it. Just got mine and have been having a ball with it. I would have to say that its roughly comparable to the elite for damage. Just a notch about the dxr 6. Speed is a little slow. But for something that sounds like a shotgun when going off, you just can't beat that feeling.
Must work on getting more. That little item has replaced my dh-17 short carbines in my inventory.
What I liked about the Nym's is no certification. Novice Marksman can equip it.
My Novice Marksman just blew through the Carbines tree using the Nym's. ![]()
SPOILERS - Fast Way to Get the Carbine (Repeatable)- SPOILERS
Note: You don't need to do the run-around for the NPCs, you can go straight to the dungeons.
1) Goto the following dungeons
Droid Cave: -3027 -681 (Get droid parts past the computer station. Answers: "Sir" "Orange" "722" (or something close to that) )
Gas Mine: 6467 3885 (Get gas from crate in mine)
Research Lab: 902 -4193 (Get data from hard drive of one of the computers, and grenades from a storage locker)
2) Drag theDroid Partsonto Jinkins
3) Drag the Gas onto Kole
4) Drag the Grenades and Data onto Nym
5) Receive Carbine and Badge
Not enough GUNS feel, look or sound like GUNS.
This laser and blaster technology sure seems second rate to the equally powerful and oftentimes cooler projectile weapons.
Tusken rifle's feel good to shoot, slugthrower is justa s cool, and top it off with a striker pistol.
We need some kind of slug firing heavyweapon, if the acid rifle was a railgun, commando might be worth the acid tree.
