I haven't done a lot of PvP, but I've been fairly successful lately with the PvP I've engaged in. For the first time in this game I feel like I can hold my own. And anything that I can't hold my own against, I can at least mess it up enough to give myself an escape route. Between BH, carbines, and pistols you get a pretty handy array of special shots. I'll never have a DE-10, but I think the tradeoff is worth it for me.







I recommend dropping down to 3400 Carbineer as that last box is totally worthless......and that would allow you to pickup Novice Medic or Novice Brawler. The tough part there is chosing between Stim B's and Intimidate.....

Intimidate has a range of 33 meters. Well, that's how far I've been able to apply the state on them.

Wanna bet on that one. Of course my template is master pistoleer/bh 0-0-4-0/smuggler 0-0-4-0/commando 0-0-1-0. Against defense stackers I can hit about 1out of 3-5 times. Perfectly acceptable but I don't expect to be winning over defense stackers any time soon. About the only real strength of that template is that I can pull out the lag pistol and spam last ditch at the cap (murderous on turrets). Last ditch is a pretty usefull shot. My scatters hit just as hard as most carbines with that shot. Or when I see a jedi coming torwards me for an easy kill I hit feign death and log out

I've been thinking of 3440 BH, 1420 Carb, MasterPistol.


Nov medic isn't really worth 15SP. Capped on speed in carbs and pistol, good accuracy in both. Crippleshot but no Scatter 2 unless I give up either Inv. or MPistol. All the good pistol specials from BH for PvP, a working dodge. For PvE use mainly carbs, PvP lay on states and then switch to pistol.

Hey, I was looking for template suggestions for Carbineers since I was looking into picking it up, a lot of these templates seem pretty useful so I figured I'd throw mine in. BH 0/4/4/0 Pistoleer 0/0/4/4 Smuggler 0/0/4/0 TKA 0/0/0/4 and Novice Commando for blaster pistols.. easier way to level Heavy Weapons instead of using the LLC to get it up in case I ever want master BH, plus it's another damage type. I've been thinking about dropping the pistol stances/novice commando to pick carbineer 0/4/0/0 but I'm not sure about loosing the 40 melee defense.. it comes in hand with pvping. Suggestions?

In my PvP experience, Just having novice medic and stim Bs isn't very useful. You need at least 0040 (preferably 4040) to make stims worth the SP. Healing 400-600 damage every 5 seconds isn't as useful as healing 1000+ damage. PvE however, stim Bs might still be useful. If you only have 15 SP and you PvP, I highly suggest Novice Brawler.

You're talking about a "smuggler" special while I was talking pure carbineer vs. pistoleer. In this case I'll bite and say, "ok".


Still haven't figured out why commando's get a pistol thats supposed to be a heavy weapon and has no specials for it.


Feign death is gay..nuff said.
