Oh, I fully understand the advantages TK's & Fencers have with Jedi. It's just that I feel wrong & out of place nowadays playing a Star Wars game without relying on my blasters.
For instance, my main guy is right now a Stormtrooper clad Master Commando / BH 0204. He used to be M.Commando / TKM, but I dropped TKM since it didn't sit right with me anymore in a Star Wars game. Granted, dropping TKM is a big loss in several ways, namely Meditate (damn those tumblers!).

Heh, I can understand and admire that sentiment.
I'm simply curious to know why you're holding on to purely Ranged weapons "in the name of Star Wars" when clearly, there are larger violations of the SW EU in place.
Galaxies was never a "Star Wars" game in my mind.. though JTL and the eventual Combat Balance may chance that. It was simply a social game with a (somewhat flawed) combat system. Granted, they've moved away from the "live your own life in the Star Wars universe" type of game to the more classic "template X beats template Y and template Z loots uber stuff" kind of game..
.. which really only leaves a few viable options in order to complete regularly in PvP and more recently, against Jedi.
Generally though.. we're not that bad against Jedi. A group of 5 of us were looking to hunt one yesterday. Our BH/Carbineer grabbed a mission (turns out he was at the Squill Cave... surprise surprise, heh.) The four of us stood outside hoping that the Jedi would attack our BH and run out, giving us the opportunity to gank him as he tried to flee.
Well, I'm not sure who tipped the Jedi off.. but he never attacked our BH.. so we were never able to TEF. And still, the Jedi died.
That's right.. our gimped BH/Carbineer chased him down in the bowels of the Squill cave, aggroing every last squill along with him, managed to chase the Jedi.. and with a series of well-placed KDs and states, crippleshot the saber-wielding heathen to death.
OK, so it was a low-level Jedi. We did meet two others who passed the trials on our way back though.. and chased them away. 3 out of the 5 of uswere Carbineers in that group. Our constant states and KDs really do hurt them if we persist.

I am MBH + Master Carbineer. Took down 3 jedi this SUN solo. It can be done. Being prepared is the key here..............unless they are Knights, in which case you have no chance.........I land 1 in 50 shots with +200 accuracy.

I think it's obvious that we'll never be able to handle a Jedi who should by all means be stronger than us. However, I feel we should develop strategies on how to handle Jedis based on our skills with Carbines and situations we might find ourselves in.
So, I would like for people to post their suggestions about how to behave as a Carbineer in the following situations :
Alone vs Jedi Paddawan
Alone vs Jedi Knight
Alone vs Jedi Guardian
Group of Carbineer andFencer vs Jedi Knight
Group of Carbineer and Fencer vs Jedi Guardian
Small Group vs Jedi Knight
Small Group vs Jedi Guardian
Large Group vs Jedi Knight
Large Group vs Jedi Guardian
Also, if you have had an experience in one of these situations, share what happened in your experience and what was the result of the outcome. If you killed the Jedi, post why you think you killed him. If you failed, post why you failed. (Encounters in which you were out powered through numbersshould not be mentioned.)

I've taken out 10 jedi this week, 9 of them solo. Really I just do what I would do against a normal PvPer. Confusionshot + Posture Down + KD + Crippleshot x 50. If they have low mind I warcry to delay them while I switch to pistols to spam eyeshot. Against high level jedi, best bet is the burstrun the heck out of there. I don't declare anymore because I'm just an XP quenker for the FRS jedi. They'll gank you, and then if you try to retailiate with a large group, they just FR3 out of there. Can't kill what you can't catch.

Let me add while my strategies with specials doesn't really change, food strat does. Instead of worrying about stomach management and timers and stuff, you just have a few minutes to kill the jedi. You can take high-filling low-duration foods that normally wouldn't be suited for long-term PvP. When I first pick up a mission I down a Synthasteak. By the time I find the target my stomach should be empty again. Then as I engage I down a Thak and a Vercupti (+1000 Health, Mind, Action for very short time). Also have a Neutron Pixie handy for another 1200 health if you need it.
