Then what can the Carbineer community do to stop or even be effective versus Jedi. Should we just no longer be overt because any old Jedi can kill us?

By the way, ever since a couple patches ago, I can BARELY get my psgs to work at all. Ive tried switching them out many times in a fight, best results ive gotten is my psgs condition drops, but no msgs in the combat que of absorbing any dmg.

Anyone else notice this? Maybe its working but just no message?

A PSG often needs re-equipped to work I have found. But even more than that, you need to make sure you are taking damage of a type that it protects against.....and kinetic is not one of them

I've had a few more days experience hunting jedi. I've noticed that when you do hit a jedi, the states seem to stick often enough (confustion shot), and they will KD if you hit them. Crippleshot hits them very hard too since they don't have armor. If block was toned down a bit, Carbineer would be the best ranged profession to take out jedi.

Who said a Carbineer was EVER supposed to dominate Jedi? That is not our role in SWG.

And in general an Overt Carbineer gets the quick trip to Covert status via the Cloner.....

You obviously don't want to be a Carbineer with visions of dead Jedi bouncing around in your head, best to look elsewhere as it is never going to happen in Carbineer.

It seems pointless to be a Carbineer if you're openly admitting that we're crappy. It's our job as Carbineers to come up with our own ways to win, whether or not the developers give us a bone. I'm not going to give in to a bunch of bully jedis who think they can go from starport looking for overts. That's just not the way the game should be. Don't tell me that I should have to travel in groups just so I can go to another planet. That's completely unfair. It just seems completely insane to have a class that owns all other classes with no penalties to itself.

Did the developers ever consider that not everyone wants to be a Jedi? Why should not being a Jedi be synonymous with failure in PvP? A few weeks ago, my friends and I fought valiantly to defend an Imperial base and we had beaten off several attacks that week. But an attack force of four jedis showed up one day and took out our 20+ defense force. Where is the fairness in that? It's completely stupid that Jedis should get the good treatment even if they work their ass off at it. I work my ass off at Carbineer and where is the payment? There is none (unless you consider working hours to get millions of credits to buy armor attachments that cost a fortune and become as useless as soonthe armor degrades, a type of payment.)

Back to the issue at hand, another guy said earlier that intimidate didn't work to lower saber block. Is this true or not? I think it's our highest priority to stop saber block since we can't hurt the Jedi if he's blocking all our shots. I've read somewhere else that some fencer defense maxed templates have as much dodge asa Jedi has block. However, their super dodging can be overcome with snowcakes, high accuracy, and accurate weapons being fired at ideal ranges.

If Jedi block cannot be bypassed, what can we do to a Jedi to at least remotely disable him in some way. You might get lucky on a non state healing Jedi to dizzy/kd him or blind him so that he has a less chance of hitting you but is that all there is to do?

I opened the console and warped myself away in the middle of the conversation that turns you into a jedi. Finished the game using guns.

There block seems to work even while they are knocked down. This goes back to the retardedness of this game when knocked down people can heal their own states and continue to dodge/block/counterattack while knock down. (How is some guy knocked down on the ground going to be able to dodge 100 shots if he's not even at least slightly rolling around?)

It works 24/7 actually. On bikes, in water.. you name it. Still, take pride in the fact that a knocked down Jedi does succumb to a 'animation' delay, 50% damage increase from your weapons, and cannot Force Run away.

While Carbineer alone won't get you very far in the ways of hunting and killing a Jedi, we always group atleast two when hunting Jedi. ActionShot2 spammed 5 times> Saber Block.

Yeah, it's rough out there for anyone wanting to participate in the GCW/PvP scene. I haven't been Overt since Pub.9 since I foresaw something like this happening. On my server, I know the Rebels outnumber us like the Soviet Red Army. Figuring that the game of proportions would say that there will be lots of Rebel Jedi running around, I took the precaution of going Covert.

Glad that I did. I saw fellow Overt Imperials get gangbanged like it was a hobby or something. It's bad enough Riflemen were standing back and plinking away. It's even worse when a guy was getting banged by that Rifleman and 3 Jedi. Oh, was that painful to see!

I think the developers are unwisely treating the delacies of such a complex game. There are too many variables at stake here for them to just dismiss them. They have to fix what they've done wrong before they can think of adding on new content. This new content crap can wait until the original game has been fixed! With knowledge of the combat balance being pushed back, I can only hope that JTL is as good as they advertise it to be. Otherwise I'm outta this game. No more money from me SOE, you hear that!?!?!

Anyways, back to the Jedi issue...

I've tried applying states but Jedis in their higher forms are just too much. I'm not saying I should be able to handle one in a 1v1 situation but there are higher level Jedis that make being overt not worth it. Gone are the days when I could peacefully go places overt without expecting to at least be able to some what defend myself as a BH/Carbineer.

I still want to be overt. However, it's me, AN AVERAGE IMPERIAL CITIZEN, who has to duck and hide in PUBLIC PLACES from Rebel Jedi. Where is my support? I'm a Colonel in the Imperial army, where are my storm trooper escorts? Why can't I call in AT-ST reinforcements? Why can I be killed in front of two Imperial recruiters who just stand there and stare out into oblivion as Rebel Jedis run around massacring Imperials? I could understand if I was killed in a Rebel city where Rebels are prominent but I was killed in Theed, an obviously Imperial city.

So, what am I to do about that? Am I supposed to spend my days doing low level content because the higher level content is being sucked up by Jedis? Am I supposed to walk around in large groups of 10 or more elite combatants in hopes that we can defend ourselves should we run into a Jedi guardian? I suppose now I should just create a network of 100 friends who would be willing to go where I want to go so that I might just be able to goplaces Overt again. The whole dynamic of this game is stupid...

We just have to play the game of numbers, eh? Attack the fastest with the most number of attacks from the most number of guns then hope for the best!

I'm leaning away from elite brawling nowadays. Playing Star Wars the way it was meant to be played! With blasters!

Or simply sacrifice those BH boosts and Master any melee profession. TKs with their raw damage, Fencers with their dodge and state defenses(can't die if you can't get hit) and Pikemen with their DoTs are simply much more powerful than Jedi.
