Yes, but you need to keep the fs boxes and padawan.

Hmm... is every FS skill you get permanent or are they only permanent after you get all 16 boxes and get padawan?

I think you can change them but once you get padawan, you can't get under 24 boxes anymore or you loose your padawan title and the second char... haven't tried is myself, though.

Damn, I want that second char!

Wonder if it'll be worth lossing 24 sp's on my main guy for 250 new points on my new guy

Right. Except that mixing Jedi skills with Carbineer pretty much means you only have Carbineer, and have some 150+ Skillpoints sitting around doing nothing towards an active combat template.

Jedi hybrid builds are rare because they don't quite work. In theory, if armor was non-present, yes, it could help. Seeing as a Carbineer needs armor for anything and everything, however, it's a waste of a lot of grinding time, if you ask me.

I thought you could wear armor but just cant use any force skills while wearing it and cant have your saber equiped

That's right - but what's the point of having Healing skills if you can't use them?

You'd essentially have to bail out in a corner, heal yourself.. your mind pool.. whatever, and then re-equip your armor. How many people can manage that in a PvP fight unless running far out and coming back when the fight isn't over? /shrug

I would say this template is completely useless. You do not have the defenses to stand against even a decent rifleman. As you can say "I can just knock them down" or "I can get away" you honestly won't have the chance.

Why are jedi so good against ranged professions even though they have relatively no defenses against them? 80% block at MLS. You don't have that. You will be the fodder for a t-21 and at that level of jedi bounty hunters all over the server are going to be coming for you.

Secondly, carbs doesn't have the damage output to even begin contemplating getting through 80-85% comp. You will be dead long before you even scratch someone 1v1.

So if i were to go MBH/MC, then i would have an average chance hunting jedi and succeeding?

I wouldn't even recommend MBH. SprayShot is nice, but you can put skillpoints to better use by going something like 0400 BH / Carbineer, and dump the rest into Medic, Novice Brawler (for intimidate) or even some Pistoleer Defenses.

Currently I'm working on a Carbineer Jedi build

not on paper etc

I'm realy grinding this atm

On my server I'm a long time PVP'r and I plan to keep that up with the following build

(Pre Jedi)

Combat Prowess 4400

Jedi Senses 0004 (No real reason just had to make a choice)

Jedi Reflexes 4404

(Non Jedi)

Master Carbineer

(Jedi)

4004 Defender

4204 Healer

2000 Jedi Enhancer

Again I am a veteran and a very expiriensed pvp'r I am also a very expiriensed carbineer ...

so with skill not being a problem

What do you folks think

Ah ... and clothing additions

Will be

25 stun (from BE)

10 ranged defense from aakuan rings

aakuan belt for disease ... the poison stuff etc

25 Carbine Accuracy While Moving in tapes

25 Speed

15 Accuracy

25 Counter attack

I hate you like no other, but good luck with it.

Sounds pretty amazing if you can get it off.. be interesting to fight in that battlefield.

To you I say Rifleman is the worst profession in the game

and if that doesnt work

I say

COMBAT BALANCE

To everyone else a tad of an Update

I'm thinking I'd like to do

24 points pre stuff

Master carbineer

2200 Enhancer

4004 Healer

4004 defender

Ranged support 1

... I needed a defensive power and the force armor 1 looks like it could do it for me

You don't understand. The "Combat Balance" isn't an excuse for a mix of skills which aren't compliant with each other. You do not benefit from ANY Jedi skills/abilities as long as you have a Carbine and armorequipped. You cannot heal yourself, you cannot use ForceShield, you cannot use ForceRun, you do not benefit from innate defenses, you do not gain anything.

You might as well go Master Carbineer / Master Dancer and get the Dancer defense bonuses, which would be MORE than what your current Jedi hybrid build would give you.

Unless you plan on running around without armor, there's effectively no benefit from dabbling in the Jedi trees. The *only* dabbling I would ever recommend would be a ForceRun3-Combat Medic or some healing abilities for a TKM who can pop Vercupti for PvE. As far as PvP goes, you will gain absolutely nothing right now, and it's doubtful you'd gain anything come the CU as well.

The Force Sensitive skills are meant to be dabbled in, but the Jedi skills are not. It's all or nothing.
