Combat exp is some of the most difficult exp to obtain in this game. The only way to get a lot of it is to kill big things and kill as many of the big things as you can.

Guess you never tried to master Politician.....trust me, that is THE WORST......

And to clarify, a bigger kill does not get you more than 10%....same as a smaller kill.

I have Mastered Politician. Its the most effortless grind in the game. You sit on your butt and the xp comes in for nada. Answer a few questions, swap out some trainers, place some terminals and gardens and you're good to go.

Droid Engineer, now that's pain.

Depends on your perspective, running a city is by no means effortless unless somebody else does it for you or you just let it go to sh1t.

And DE, well that took all of one day....

It's all a matter of perspective and what you want to do. I'm sure a hardcore WS would find grinding carbines (or any combat class) the hardest to do. I'm sure a "pwn j00 FotM" person would find politician a long and hard grind. A doctor (and they do) hate grinding crafting. Etc...

None of the professions are intrinsically harder than others (except maybe BH and ID post patch), it's all a matter of what you enjoy doing, and more importantly, what you consider tedius work.

Yes but all professions but Politician can be done in one month or as little as one hour......

It takes 185 citizens in a city to master Politician in one month.....that is what I mean by hardest XP in the game....no matter what you do it takes forever....

One of the best ways to gain combat xp is to use grenades. You should start with the light frag. grenade certification, and if you put maximum yield grenade enhancers on 'em, it'll be even better. The best targets for these babies are lairs... specifically after you've cleared the spawns. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.

Do you know how happy I would be if combat medic didnt need ranged support. . . i understand why itsneededbut I could really, really use those extra 14 SP. . .

With the addition of FS skills, I dropped master CM and miss it dearly. . .my other prof. is master pistoleer and I don't want to drop my only master combat skill...

How significant of an impact on throwing poisons if i go from CM 4404 to Cm 4004?

you loose 25% off the tick... so if the effectiveness of the poison is 300 at master you'd hit for 600 per tick and at 4004 or 4404 or even 4444 you'd hit for 525. you also have to make sure that all your stuff is 75 CM med use.

that ranged tree is there to justify the CMs ranged abilities but I agree less points needed would be nice..... but if you want that MCM tag, it's going to cost you.

It seems like the throw timers for CM might be broken. I'm 4004 and throw at cap. I can hit multiple poisons/diseases in my toolbar and it will just queue them up one after another. Unfortunately, I'm a MASTER doc, and have to wait to throw heals out. Also, CM heals don't seem to be going at cap like the poisons/diseases do.

At this current point in time, you only get /healmind (/shudder at mind wounds) and/or get it to go master CM. Since even at 4004 I can throw poisons/diseases at cap, the only speed difference would come in the form of healing and not the offensive.

No impact on throwing poisons from what I can tell going from 4404 to 4004. Post here if you choose to do that and notice a speed difference.

i am having the same experience. no change in throwing poisons/diseases from 4404 and 4004 just the rate of throwing heals, so i have conserved the points for FS skills.

Everyone has to deal with this... not just us Combat Medics. I doubt Bounty Hunters are happy about needing all that scouting stuff AS WELL AS master marksman... I'm sure the Commandos would prefer to not have to worry about Unarmed IV.

Besides, I may be a noob for saying this, but I really like the Ranged Support tree. As a rifleman, I find the skills and abilities reasonably useful. Given the option to drop it, I doubt I would.
