Thread: DH17 short carbines... what's the point?

94-710.
710-94=606
606X.4=242
242+94=336
94x1.25=117
336x1.25=420
After mitigation and AP, it comes out to: 117-420. Like I said, destroyed.
Now, I don't know how that was made, meaning what tissues were used and what slices, so I can't make an Elite to compare, but these are the calculations I've done:
Stocked Elite: 148-229
Krayted (+69): 148-298
30% slice: 192-387
+33min: 256-387
Cripple 7.5x: 1920-2903
RDM3: 1920-2313
Stocked Laser: 83-317
Krayted (+69): 83-386
30% slice: 108-502
+33/+16 PU: 125-667
Cripple 7.5x: 937-5002
RDM3: 937-2563
AP: 1171-3204
+33min: 143-502
Cripple 7.5: 1072-3765
RDM3: 1072-2149
AP: 1340-2686
The Elite with a 33% min damage power-up beats out the Laser, made and sliced exactly the same, by far.

What novamarine sayd was true in that case, but im talking about pvp against melee's without armor!
If umean i should be ashamed for using a 147-378 dh-17 with speed 1.6 u dont do much pvp Dirthnader 
I think there is a big diff in pvp from server to server..
novamarine said everybody is fullbuffed and packin full armor in pvp on his server,that not the case on my server therefor
u can not say that a no ap gun is totally useless!

jangus that elite is nothing special, mine are all better than that....Not trying to brag or anything but i dont think you have looked at to many good elites with stocks lately or your server has had some realy bad resorces.
Dh17's are good for speed but even against an unarmored enemy in pvp ill use my elite. Its hard to say if they have damage mitigation or not and with the right power ups etc i can get my elite down to about 2.3 speed. And once the revamp comes in and i use my tissues and imp stocks ill have an elite that shoots at better than 1.7 speed pre slice and powerup !!! and about 180-200 min damage heh. got enough loot to try for 3 good ones. But i alwase get burned on the slice lol.

I know enough about PvP to know that if some idiot is running at me without armor I'm putting the carbine away and eyeshotting him to death. My scatters do more damage than the DH-17 you're quoting there, have AP1, and they hit the mind pool on every shot.
I stand by my comment - any BH/carbineer should be ashamed to use a DH17. It shows you have a lack of understanding about the array of weapons and tactics at your disposal. This is one of the primary reasons people think BH's are weak - they don't understand how to effectively use every tool at their disposal.
