Getting a good set of armor is much better than unarmored in all forms of combat, be them PvP or PvE. I personally go into combat with only a chest plate and sometimes a helmet, but I'm more of an exception than anything. (The funny thing is how people still spam head shot against me when that is one of the few parts of my body which is protected.) This is basically because of the advent of 2000+ buffs, which make armor only have gain and no effective penality to using. The primary choiceis heavy composite armor (with a stun layer if going into PvP combat), and a secondary choice is some good urbeese because it is much lighter.


As I understand it, counterattack will stop an attack, but not actually counter attack, which is why it is considered broken.


The more I think about it, it seems like counter attack should not prevent any damage but should let carbineers fire the next attack on their queue immediately. I say this because assuming we are supposed to be crowd controllers this would make sense, in that the more people firing at us the more counter attacks we get and the more effective we would be. For example, if you have 5 fullautoarea's queued up, if you have 10 people firing on you you might shoot all 5 of them in 1 or2 seconds, which amplifies the effects of area attacks against groups. You would remove the damage prevention aspects so it is not strictly better than dodge, which only avoids damage.

Hrm....that seems like a good idea. But if we did that and spammed FAA or other skills. We'd be extremely vicious. Of course we'd still be taking the damage..so....Hrmm. Makes me think lol
