Ok im gonna take this view form the venteren pistolier and new riflemens point of view. I don't use the jawa and yes riflemen's jawa is a little stacks onsidering they do have the t21 (AP3) and of corse the pretty cool laser (AP2). Then lets look at pistolier.. has anyone here made a tangle or used one? its likes shooting a squitgun while blind.. it has **edit**ty..i mean **edit**ty dmg, speed (thank you borked speed mod), and 45m max range... trust me i have one of the best u can possible make and its a last resort. Now lets look at effectivness of pistols vs. armor.. with AP1 as u may have noticed if you use a elite or i did when i used to be carbineer that ap1 vs armor = joke.... nothing like doing 120 dmg with last ditch and a krayt RB to make your day complete, if that soemtimes with the 90% gladiators running around these days. Pistolier is not a option stun but yes riflemen do get a huge vs. armor advantage and i think armor in general is extremely unfair to wookies and us AP1 whielders.. i've wondered since my days as a amster as why dont' they just make each protection different so a suit wouldn't be all 80% it'd have ot have a few 15%'s or a all around suit of 50% would be max.. You do have the laser carbine that can be easily krayted and that AP2 can put a hurten on armor so be thankful for what you have and will soon have after publish 7. im not flaming you or anything but if everyoen has a stun gun then you pop on some 40% stun armor or try somethign else..

Idunno... I kinda like the idea about making the Elite into a cold weapon tho

Hehe, people have suits of 80% all / 40% stun resist composite armor. Considering that I am a Doctor and am buffed 24/7 my secondaries even while wearing a full suit of said composite are around 2k for H/A and over 400 for mind. With a little brandy my mind secondaries can be over 1k in full advanced composite. Adding on my ranged 3 mitigation that I get with Master Rifleman, it would probably be impossible for a Carbineer to kill me in a duel. Even with me doing nothing other than auto attacking there is no way enough damage could get through my armor to even make me nervous (I'm regening H/A at around 100+ every 5 seconds and have 3K+ H & A). And, if by some miracle the Carbineer does get me down 2k or so in H/A a single stim will heal me back up with around 12 mind cost (in FULL composite!). And don't bother with any status effects, I can cure those with even less mind cost in single application (probably faster than you can apply them).
The bottom line is that a stun gun would help a bit (but it probably wouldn't have very good, if any,AP) by allowing you do to what, 20-50 more damage per attack (what's the difference between 80% and 40%?) which would mean I'd have to heal probably 20 seconds faster in order to eliminate all damage done. It's the entire system that's borked, not your lack of a damage type....

/disagree.
I don't think a stun carbine is the answer, it would be like a band-aid for a severed limb. I see no *real* reason for Jawa guns to be AP:1,
I, for one, find getting sniper-shotted by a stun weapon mind-boggling, but I can't think of a reasonable system to replace it.
I'd rather have a Kinetic Carbine.
If they wanted to make it so you can only do status-effects with stun weapons, Hell yeah, give one to everyone.

Fico hit it dead nail on the head. There is no way a stun weapon would fix this. its the entire system that is borked thse 80% gladitators are pretty much invincible to everything except headshots from jawa Ion or mind poisen. The whole system is just completly flawed.
Armor needs to have a spread of vulnerabities. and I dont see why its resists should go any higher than 60%

Shoot when they get around to fixing chargeshot2, when someplaces freezes over probably, make it a stun attack.

/disagree with you, a kinetic carbine would be suicide, eveyone has 80% comp on now, we for sure need a stun carbine, im tired of this bull**edit** from the riflemen with their elite weapons....compensation needs to be paid

the more i think about it i want the elite to be electric damage...or make a new weapon with ap and high min damage with electric. That would rock : )

Oh, make no mistake, when I said I wanted a Kinetic carbine, I understand it would be all but worthless in PvP. I'm more thinking of how much I hate needing melee-folk when it comes to the tougher Dathomir-Sisters, which often have lower resists to kinetic and blast. I was looking at PvE.
