As for weapons, sure they aren't the best, compared to pistols, but i will tell you I still do a damn good amount of damage on the average special shot. Being buffed is all it takes for the action cost to not even bother you. You only use 92, pick up Doctor and apply self buffs. Sure I wish the Elite dealt some more damage, like 230ish on the average(pre-slice) and the EE3 to be ap1(or even2) because FWG5 blows it out of the water(ap1 and the radius made 5m and works would do nicely)
As for you statement of Fencers suck, have you actually ever seen one being played? I will tell you they are on par with TKA and even better if played right.
Maybe after hologrinding tell december and deciding I wanted to do Carbineer and Pikeman with my alt as originally planned(Hologrinding almost killed this game for me) now with Pikeman's LVA and Vibro lance range mods improved I will try that out in a couple of weeks. I never used the CS1 all the time, my Carbines did enough, and my armor protected enough, to where I tried to figure out yesterday what was actually nerfed/fixed to it, and to my surprise it never even affected me. I got a stun AoE attack and a nice AoE attack also for when I do faction missions and NPC missions. As for creature lairs, nothing like something looking at the end of my laser Carbine(42-429 w/ 15min/31maxpup) with 18/37/22 or so ham and me shooting it a couple of times for 3k+ with cripple before it rolls over dead. As for hitting creatures, am I the only one that seems to hit a great deal of the time, sure I get 3 misses in a row every now and then, but I follow up with a nice 3k hit.
Dude. I mastered doctor and buffing myself was nice to a point. The one pool I couldn't readily buff was my mind pool and that went quick. And If you get a laser with Stock and Scope ham is around 70/80/70. The benefit is that min damage is raised as well as max. I never spammed CS1 unless I had a reason or was providing cover for a group. I.E. the force crystal caves. The last time I went there I held a force sensitve weenie down while the rest of a group of 12 hammered on him. CS1 never did enough damage for me to spam it. And the one time I did spam it in PVP I found out I could go no farther than 64m from my target which really sucked cause I was trying to get away. I even took the suggestion of spamming it against a krayt (like some said they had seen other carbineers solo one with) and died to no big suprise. Crippleshot is over rated. I used full auto single more for the blind and stun. It fired a hair faster and did slightly less damage than crippleshot. Mind costs were lower too. And If I was in a group and really wanted to devastate a target the I used scattershot exclusively. But the fact remains that if there was trouble in the group I was there to counter it with a CS1 and minimize the damage. That was what made this class unique. That is gone. And the stinky part about it is that while they fixed this shot they never even bothered to look at the other shots that are borked.
but even with HAM stats that low on weapons, i still kill myself far far far faster than any pistoleer....
xerses you are wrong and I know you have never played BH, I was 2/4/4/4 BH and dropped it cause it's such a waste of skill pts. FireKD = broke rarely works, bleedingshot = completely worthless, eyeshot = gimp when they have 80% helm on and mind buffs, torsoshot = ok dmg and small burn dot that is laughable, LLC = suicide to any melee.
Investigation = you can get jedi Bounties that you can't track using droids
MBH= worst way to spend 217 skill pts.

It's true. Carbineers completely suck now. I'm not going to spend this post complaining, but I pre-patch I wasa very useful PvP support class. In fact I was an anti-defense stacker template as a Master Carb, BH 0400. Now I'm gimped beyond gimped. Soloing in PvE? Yes it could be done, but it wasn't really worth it. It took way too long, and I've seen riflemen solo NS elders better than me. My guild is extremely pvp oriented, so it looks like I'm going to have to remake my template just tobe able to hang with them.
Ive been a master Carbineer since the second month of launch(was kinda slow getting to master) and ive always loved it was a challenge that i coudlnt solo everything, a PvP one on one fight was challenging and i had to use alote of skills to Win, one of skills i used was the Charge shot and run tactic and get away from Commandos and other people who would just one shot me.
I lost many many battles and won many battles and whoever said you can solo anything with just Chargeshot is on crack, you dont do much damage AT all with it and its mainly used for a Pure carbineer as a Defense to get away so you can heal throw in a status effect bleed it and do what you had to do with it, but if you spammed it you will die very quickly plain and simple and in PvP all it did was delay Ranged fighters they kept shooting when they were tripped down the only people that we had an advantage over was Melee people but then again the minute they got in range of us we were pretty much dead.
lately ive been doin the holo grind and i never once thought of giving up on carbineer and i kept it but one of my holo's was to do smuggler, well in this one tree of dirty fighting i can do more damage and kill mor ethings at once than a carbineer ever could, and now that we got this Nerfed without even fixing one shot of ours its just to much for me anymore, i was living through the high Ham cost, i was living with not really haveing any defense (counter attack i never once saw work, and i dont believe it does work) i was liveing with our 4 shots that did anything, but i agree that one day chargeshot shoulda been made like all the other KD shots (this also includes makeing it as powerful as the rest) but they coulda atleast made our shots better or something.
We get nerfed when you have Combat Medics who never miss with there poisons and combine poison and disease to kill you, Riflemen who one shot you,Commando's who one shot you, BH and most of melee classes with KD + dizzy that most of the time your done for unless you have GReat armor and buffed, Master brawlers with 20 second delays, and im sure there is more, but Chargeshot was sadly all we had as carbineer.
I gave up Carbineer today to go Combat medic and Rifleman and i might play with other things as well i do miss my carbine guns already but its just to the point i cannot be effective in PvP against these other proffesion anymore nor can i be effective in alote of PvE battles, its just sad when im only useing Smuggler dirty fighting tree and doing more things with it than i EVER could with carbineer.

ur right i never have been a BH, but i get killed by them all the time. i know for a fact that eyeshot works well, and true LLC gets killed by melee if they can get close enough.... i haven't gotten close enough yet... yah armor does help until u put in ap weapons then u stil get hit hard... oh well it doesn't mater anyway, pretty soon they are gunna have to nerf bh's cause all they ever say is how they spend all their skill points and they should be uber, but then when some1 else makes an uber templete they use all their skill points as well, and if they nerf defencsive stacking that argument will no longer be valid so they will have to make BH mods not stack either (I.E carbine speed stacking from carbineer and bh to make an uber carbineer)
