Well I kill an Enraged Rancor in 30 seconds on average.....
Normally I send my pets to the lair and shoot 6-8 ER's at once. It takes me a grand total of 1 minute to clear the first two spawns of a 38k mission ![]()
Seems like that is fast enough damage in PvE.....

In almost any situation, having a Carbine in you hand says, "Come beat me to a pulp, and I will help you do it with my high HAM costs". Novice Medic and uber armor is so important because we have no defenses to speak of.

I've been Master Carbineer/Master Fencer for months now, and I must say its fun as heck. Sure, I don't PvP a ton and I mostly hang out and fight some PvE creatures a bit, I feel that I have a BALANCED gameplay experience when I play and battle.
I have the flexibility in combat to fight up close and lay some states fairly quickly, and swapping back and forth between carbineer and fencer during a fight, and I feel that this is a good factor.
Add in the fact that I can mini-buff with Powerboost/Brandy, with tka 4004,and I can jump into the many mid-level caves out there and clear the place. (Mid-level caves are Eran Siff Bunker, Drall Cave, Auakuan Cave, Borgle Bat Cave, and others). And you must admit KD'ing a group of 5 npc's feels so awesome 
Sure they don't offer much in content or loot, but clearing a cave or small base solo just adds that special something to gameplay.
It just feels right.
