Isn't stun something that cuts all defence mods on someone by like 50% ?

That's what I have been told and I actually believe it does...

As a carbineer, if you stick stun on someone... Dizzy, blind, Kd, posture change will stick like honey on your targets. Then again I might be wrong so yeah... why not, it is a good question.

Or we could ask them to finally come out and admit what Counter-Attack actually does. It dodges an attack exactly like dodge...but it does't counter, nor attack. They admit it's broken, but what are the plans for it in regards to Carbineer.

Why give a class they want to be Crowd Control, a single person "counterattack?"

Counterattack is supposed to counterattack (aka attack back)and at +105 (master carbineer) it should be happening as often as a master pistoleer with +105 dodge. So right now it is neither working correctlynor is itactivating as often as it should. This is paraphrased right from the Dev's mouth. Block is not working correctly either. All of these issues are on que for the combat rebalance.

Trust me, I am all over this issue and if I remember correctly this is issue 4 on our Top 5. The Devs arewaiting for the combat rebalance to tackle all these problems. Right now I can't really bring up issues because the Devs just do not want to hear them...yet. Once the combat rebalance rolls around, they will start listening and we will have our issues heard over and over and over and over.......until they get the point.

Nova, were you able to determine if just asking for basic definitions of what the state effects do would any more acceptable as a question, without the internal mathematics revealed?

TH has not asked for a question yet. He will ask for one next Monday andIwanted to have the question ready to go for next week. So, that means I have not submitted it yet butI am going to askstates question since no one has come up with something better. If you look at the past questions, squad leaders asked what rally does and TH answered in a descriptive (meaning he wouldn't give numbers) manner. I would be shocked if TH would not answerour question in the same manner assuming he can find out from the other Devs what the states really do.

Descriptive is perfectly fine

I just want to know what I'm doing, even if its left to me to determine how effectively I'm doing it.

Why were we stabbed in the back by the development team regarding weaponary?

IGN -- We often hear the loudest cries from a relative minority. Still, it seems odd that all the comments sent our way have been negative.
HADEN -- Yeah, all the guys who are happy with everything are playing the game. They aren't spending their time sending you guys letters or posting on the forums.
TH -- At its core, the idea of polling players in game is valid and one I'd like to pursue, but when it comes to forum demographics, avid posters tend to be early adopters and power users. The feedback they provide is always valuable information.

Just a heads up. This week is E3 week so there is no question this week. We will use this question next week.

The one thing about stun that Im curious about is what stats it reduces. I have a feeling that for the other states a vague
answer will be giving, much like the ingame descriptions. Stun supposedly 'lowers some stats' and it would be interesting to find out exactly what stats those are. As for blind and dizzy I would bet TH would responde with something like 'lowers accuracy and has a chance to fall when posture is changed'. A better definition for intimidate would also be nice (I am a pikeman also so that knowledge would benefit me)

Nova, are you 100% sure that counter-attack really should do an attack? In that case it is different than any other profession where dodge/block is a secondary defensive mod (just like ranged/melee defense)

Personally I'd like the questions to stick to issues not covered by our top 5and avoid issues which the devs are aware of and will likely be addressed in the forthcoming combat rebalance. Since applying states is an integral part of thecarbineer profession, I'd really like to get anexact definition from TH as to whatthese states do, how they affect the target etc. Okay, so no exact calculations but at least understanding the theory should helpus move a lot closer to fully understanding our profession.....and that can't be a bad thing!

I think as a community we are out of questions. The ones we have are due to be addressed with the combat balance.

I think definitions of states is a good one.
