Depends on the situation.
Overall it would have to be the Elite. Simply because if you need to cause damage it is consistent in the damage it causes. Unlike the laser carbine which can fluctuate wildly.
The DH-17 snub is a great carbine to have on missions and in most cases hunting. It has good damage and phenominal speed.
The e-11 carbine with a speed powerup is a good PVP carbine cause of the ar it has. and doesen't do that much damage but give you a quick follow up to a kd shot.
The dxr6 is a godsend on Dantooine or Dathomir. Alot of the animals have an acid vulnerability.
The laser carbine. Well it can cause massive damage if you catch it right. But seems to be a little slow.
And if you have mastered carbineer. Well I use a good quality CDEF for hunting birds and such believe it or not. Works great for taking out decay mites and gorg. And keeps me from destroying my other guns that actually have a purpose. lol

Best carbine IMHO is a lazer for 80% of your fights the only time i chage is if a MOB has a vul. to Acid or on occasion if they have 60% or better to energy and a vulnureable to heat in those occasions i change to a DXr6 or a EE3
