Believe me my Krayt 424 max dmg with powerup, 3.1 speed Elite carbine does not suck. Its minimun dmg is in the 160's I believe. Consistency is way more important to me than one big shot. I've never seen a better Elite.

Maybe it's just my particular Elite carb that's sucking the life out of me, but even with 610 quickness, I still took320 damage from usingFullAutoSingle2 with it. I thought HAM costs were bad with my laser carbine, but this is ridiculous. I was disappointed with the Elite when I first saw it, but I figured I'd give it a try at least. It did reasonable damage at good speed (3.0 speed, 112-254, just a master-made Elite with a 30% speed slice), but I think it should do a different damage type being an elite profession certification. Regardless of what's done, HAM costs need to be addressed first and foremost. It repels people from even considering getting into the profession.

Sure, elites are good for consistent damage.. consistent subpar damage.

That's what average DPS figures are for.. to find out the most-likely damage per shot.

For energy weapons, PvE and armored PvP, laser wins hands down.. AP2 is a killer. For unarmored PvP, dh17 wins with its beautiful raw DPS.

This thread's titlesums it up perfectly. Elites SUCK... even with krayt tissue.
