Thread: TA: What modded speed bug?
i'm just pi$$ed cuz i'm not hittin every1 every second
(Hater)
i don't mind losing at all, but i'd like to think i lost fair and square....
Well - I did do loads of testing. Basically I used a small macro called test on a cycle
/rangedshot;
/placedshot;
/pause x;
/macro test;
Then I found a high ham critter - fired away until it was dead - then from the combat log worked how how many attacks I made and how long it took. Divided one by the other and - omg - I could never get x below4 to have consistent results even though my mod speed was about 1.2.
My DPS was about half of what it should be.
I once asked a CSR if ranged speed was working in the FS lines - he replied that if he told me it would be "game breaking". Well have I got news for you![]()
hmmm This is presumed to be an exploit but I did some testing earlier and found out the following
I will post some hard data and screenies later on since I am at work right now...but:
With my CL22 Novice Carb Novice BH myadjustedspeed was something like 2.25. When I set up a macro with Three different attacks with a 2 sec pause I was hitting every 2-3 secs. At level 52 with a 1.9 adjusted speed. I hit consistantly every 2 seconds for several attacks and then get 1 second interval for one of the subsequent attacks..
I tried this with my Jedi with three different sabers and again I consistantly hit at my base speed (This is an acknowledged bug).
Now the intersting thing is you can with careful button pressing re-create this with well timed button pressing. In fact I prefer now to stab the function keys to queue my attacks. The only time I don't hit at my base speed is when I spam the same attack repeatedly.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has found something similar or am I *bugged*
Next person that says "Shenanigans" Im going to pistol whip
What movie (Only one of the funniest movies ever)
