But what happened to the charge on the psg. did you notice any less absorbtion when the charge on the psg got low?
The charge didn't get low....that is the whole point of this second round of testing I posted.

I highly suggest to remove your "comment" on the Nym's.
It's no problem for me. I have a truly kicking, wonderfully sliced Nym Slugthrower already. But some of our fellow members of the "Temple Of Carbines" might want wonderful versions of this toy.
I don't see any fair way for them to "fix" this quest at this point. If you make it so you can only do it once the way it is now, you could just as easily wind up with a 215DPS carbine as a 315DPS one (nearest I can tell there's no decrease in probability of getting something uber vs something crappy). If you made it so everybody got a maxed out 315DPS version, then you invalidate all the work previous people did trying to get thier good one (not that they've never done this before).If you make it so everybody gets a slightly lower than max version, then you make a pre-nerf condition where none of the new people can hope to ever get something as good as the old timers have, without paying out the ass for it (not that they've never done this before). Also considering most of the other L50 quest weapons are in the 250-275PDS range max, it would be a considerable nerf.
Should they fix it so you actually have to do the quests from the other two guys before you can just drop your items on nym? Sure. Leaving the repeatability of this quest alone is probably the only fair way to handle this situation.

Well actually, that is exactly what Iebas (TAFirehawk) is trying to do. He is having a special Czerka made. Now I realize that the Czerka is a BH weapon, but it IS a carbine, and the only other decent kinetic carbine. I am anxiously awaiting to see how it turns out, because it would be nice to have another option that could keep up with or exceed a Nyms in some way.
Honestly thought, we really shouldnt complain. Rifleman get....err....well nothing really. The LD-1 and the Fallon Hyperrifle loots are the only decent kinetic rifles that I know of. Compared to both of those, a really nice Nyms stands up very well. Pistoleers arguably get one of the best kinetic weapons in the game with the Featherweight FWG. Its only limitations are a relatively low min damage and its 35m range. But considering they can be made with amazing SAC, speed, accuracy max damage, AND have mods built into the gun, its a damn nice kinetic weapon.
Really, I dont think we are that bad off. Granted I would love to see more variety, but I am not all that concerned about it. I will mention this though, the Pistoleer forums have pretty much concluded that the only pistol that you really have to have is the Featherweight FWG. They feel the same way about that as we do about only having the Nyms. Someone in the Pistoleer forums suggested the idea of changing weapons crafting into something similar to the current armor crafting setup. What they mean is, make a rifle/carbine/pistol CORE, and then drop it into any skin that you want. So basically you could make a core for either an energy or a kinetic weapon, and then have it made to look like ANY of the carbine skins. Its not a bad idea, and it opens up a lot of style options. Not to mentions customization options. I KNOW it is not as simple as that, and that there are about 4 dozen problems with that idea that would need to be worked out first. My point is that we are not the only ones that would like to have a little variety, and that there are conversations going on out in the forums about how to address this.

You my friend are WRONG. There is absolutely NO WAY I will remove my comment. Why in the heck should I be censored but the rest of you not.....
This is quite insulting, but I will refrain from responding as any normal person would.....as it would get me a 3 day vacation....
BTW, the facts are clear, the item is to be random quest reward and not to be repeated endlessly until an 'uber item' is achieved (if we want to get picky, this is an EXPLOIT). Please name other quests that get to be repeated to get a 'better weapon'..... The Nym's Slugthrower Quest is BUGGED, simple fact that I obviously shouldn't have let it continue with the prevailing attitude of the Carbineer Community as it appears to be from this thread. No longer shall I let things slide because I think it isn't hurting much or we 'need' something, I will be a better Corr, sorry for my 'slacking'.

No longer shall I let things slide because I think it isn't hurting much or we 'need' something, I will be a better Corr, sorry for my 'slacking'.
I should tell youa repeatable quest? Nekrosis on Kashyyyk. Is it a bug that you can pick it up again to get another shot on the loot, too? And there are a few more repeatable quests there...

For resolving the quest to get the badge, you don't need to drag the stuff on him, he receives the items in the run of the conversation. But alas, the Devs coded a way to bring him more items so you can get more carbines. If this is a bug and exploit, i am sorry, but based on how this works, i rather assume that it's intended behaviour.

I am not familar with the changing loot with Necrosis.....is that the Hallsweeper Carbine?
And your point about dragging the items to him is the PERFECT explanation of the exploit.....you can't actually repeat the quest and thus dragging the items is the bug.

Regular loot are a cybernetic arm and the Bell-22 deed. There's always one more random weapon along, be it proton rifle, dawnsorrow rifle or some other rare and exquisite weapon. (Don't think that the Hallsweepere is among them, though)
And once in a while you also can loot Banes Heart, a very good lightsaber crystal. Though, after killing the guy for something like 10 times, we only got that one once.
