Thanks for you input into this, nice to have a correspondant post and understand the concerns and questions we have. 
Now I understand that speed isn't the be all and end all of the profession. However attachments do play a huge role in using weapons you don't have mastery in as the percentage increase would be way more. For this reason I'm tempted by this template.
- Master BH - I can't drop this, I love the jedi hunting, the great specials and the chance to wear mandalorian armor one day!
- Master Carbine - or I would be here, loving carbines now, special are great
- Master Marksman - this is so I could dabble in rifles too, with ca's and aa's I could get accuracy and speed right up there.
- Pistoleer - 0,0,0,3 for a good root, helps me get state changes off
This does increase speed and also ranged defense, but lowers accuracy somewhat.

- Combat Prowess 4,0,0,0
I do love this, but I have seen some very nice high damage rifles that could help with leg shot and critical shot when rooted. So I guess its more a case of do I want to use rifles or not.
I have been chatting toa few players and some seem to want to get novice medic too. I'm not really sure about that as you loose 15 skill points and some great defensive mods. If people didn't know you can get food that decreases stim round time to 30 secs rather than one minute, and with a heal of 1200 if you have nice stims every 30 secs (obviously not constant because of stomach filling) thats all I need, if I get hit for more than that, I'm probably not being a very good carbineer
However now I have a choice of two templates for my final respec, both are very good and my favourites, but would like to see if anyone has a variation of this?
