Thread: Some conclusions

Our city was being attacked last night, and as I was fighting with my Elite I actually read someone who was laughing at me for being a carbineer as they blinded, dizzy & KD me in amazing rate. I managed a few hits and a chargeshot but missed. I wish I had the option to throw the gun at them. I might have done more damage.


I really like Carbines man, I hate the fact that nobody is afraid of it. I trully believe that there is hope for this...make it happen please. Atleast let me put up a great fight. 'Nuff said

Look, I'm not one to complain about much. I'm about to become a 4-4-4-3 Carbineer. I just want to be able to put up a good fight and not get Death blown once every 30seconds. It drives me insane! Do i have to knockdown someone before I can do any real damage? Why cant we have something like a headshot that can put a serious dent in our opponent. I hate kicking someone when they are down. The only way I want them to fall is if I killed them. I'll CS only because it's my only chance. Let Carbineers be feared and not just another soldier. I'm hoping that this can be fixed, I have no intention of giving it up just yet. But every time I fight for my guild and I get deathblowed i actually start looking at other professions with one eye open. I'm counting on you guys to make this work. I'm even begging you.

sorry for my bad writting skills. It always sounds good in my head, Just never comes out right as I type it. I guess it's better to lurk than to look stupid.I just hope I get the point across. I will stop posting

Novamarine, you say above that "the changes to CS should have no effect on our ability to fight ranged classes" and "CS only functioned to pin opponents down". But then u say that it is, in fact, a KD. I dont understand. If it was an actual KD, wouldnt it also help us with ranged classes? I mean, if I KD a pistoleer with CS, he keeps shooting at me. But when a smuggler hits me with low blow, I aint doin nothing until I get up, (if I get up). Thus, it seems obvious to me, that taking what you say as the truth, this is not a KD in the same manner as other classes have. Not to mention that the target is only knocked down for a second or so (tho I suppose this is now open to debate.) In any case, this why some of us are so outraged that the timer was put on it. Theyve put a timer on a KD that was already gimped.

Just for the record....chargeshot does a KD and panic shot does a delay. They are too different things. Because KD does not act like panic shot does not mean that KD is not working.

Hello all!


Im a master carbineer and BH carbineer lvl3


I most say, one on one against a master tka i have noe problems,


just have to keep some distance!


I usually use my krayt Dh-17 short. with this gun i can spam specials fast as hell without it doin any harm on my HAM.


When i meet a range apponent i switch to my elites as they usually wear full body armor.


I dony mind to much that they timed the charge 1 seeing it was an uber special in pvp.


no melee's could even get close to knock me down:-)


I still think carbineer is a great proffesion! have much more fun with this proffesion then master tka.

I agree, I'm only a master carbineer and I can kill any TKM unless they get too close. But if they get within 15-20m I'm usually dead. But that is how it should be.

KD definitely does not last 5 seconds from what I have observed.

Can anyone see a difference w/ Suppression Fire I and Suppression Fire II? Combined w/ Dizzy this is an extremely effective tool but not sure what the exact difference is btw them.

Umm, Novamarine, u must be tired. I didnt say panic shot, I said low blow, which i believe is a KD. In any case, i was just using that as an example. Take any KD, the TKA's for example. It will KD u and you CANNOT fire. And oftentimes, u are down for very long periods of time. With CS, the target CAN STILL FIRE, and there is no way it stays down as long as other KDs. (Ofcourse this may be because we dont have a working dizzy.) In any case, I dont see how u can say it now working KD like other KDs in the game. It is essentially useless against ranged classes.
