Captain,

They are named rifle barrels but are used for carbines, flamethrower, LLC and heavy weapons.

There are two different rifle barrels, blaster rifle barrels and projectile rifle barrels. The projectile rifle barrel is only used in the Tusken Rifle so those theme park rifle barrels are pretty useless. Today, there might come new weapons using them.

awsome, many thanks. very helpful guide

Good info, my pvp Elite Carbine with advanced scope/stock is serving me well so far.

Im sorry man, but Laser Carbiens blow elites out of the water....

Medium armor peircing for one... in PvP composite armor has light protection right... so with an elite carbine's light AP it leaves tthe dmg reduction to the base defence of the armor, lets just say they have a crappy 80% energy res... well you 20 % ur normal damage i beleive..

I forget how much more the damage resistance gets reduced when its AP 2 gun vs AP 1 armor, but i think its like a 20% damage bonus on the gun part, only downfall of laser carbines is that they have bad point blank mods

My current Laser Carbine was made with +30 .3 krayt tissues and got a 30% damage slice, is scoped, and hasa theme park stock and has these stats with a powerup

3.0 Speed

98-609 damage

+49 Ideal

25/40/25 HAM

Medium Armor Peircing

I really suggest not using elite carbines for PvP

Taking the stats on a +30 -.3 kryat tissued, formfit stocked Elite carbine posted by this threads author and then adding on a 30% damage slice and +33max/+16 min powerup it comes out to about 203-442 2.7.

So your laser might have 150 more max damage roughly, but this has like 100 more minimum damage which with mitigation plays a huge role in PvP.

Compare that to the elite carbine above,135-256 speed: 2.7

First add a 30% damage slice and Min/Speed Pup.

Elite- 232-333, 2.3 Spd

Laser- 98-609, 3.0 Spd

Against your average rifleman, damage migration changes the damage to...

Elite- 232-272, 2.3

Laser- 98-302, 3.0

Then add the AP2 bonus for the Laser rifle, and avg the damage.

Elite- 252, 2.3

Laser- 250, 3.0

Not only does the above mentioned Elite beat you by 2 in average damage, the speed isnt remotely comparable.

Thanks for the info. I wish I would have read this sooner. I have a krayt enhanced laser with form fitted stock and advanced scope (max range) that I had made not too long ago. Now have to work up the dough for the elite I guess.

I don't have the exact figures at hand, but they may be stickied somewhere. Mitigation adjusts the difference between min and max damage. Lets say a laser has 55-400 damage, and you shoot someone with Ranged Mit 3, then 60% of the difference will be taken from the possible max damage, meaning that your guns damage range will actually be 55-138. Now, you can add your 20% ap bonus, but it will not make up for the loss you have suffered to your max damage.

Lets say the elite is min 150 max 250. Then against the same target your adjusted max damage is now 190. As you can see, even with a gun that is apparently far less powerfull, it actually will have a much better max damage against the oponent.

Now, please excuse my gross discrepencies, this was just for example purposes.
